Looks good, for safety's sake turn your cable u-bolts clamps around, they're backwards.

6:00 I've seen those spikes on wires before. I forget what the name was, but they are a standard feature on chains in the loggers world. Def a worthy addition for a home build.

@@Robinson-Homestead I’ve seen others that made an other one and put it at the end of the log , using 2 helped keep mud and stones from getting into the bark . It was to help the saw blades on their mill , just a thought, since u r so handy .

I have been meaning to get here a long time ago on this build. I have been logging most of my adult life and I think you have done a great job on this arch Kevin. I am not sure about using both binder/chains setups. You may get "Bunk bound" by using the rear one and have difficulty turning skidding a long one but only time will tell on that. You maximised the build for sure. Light and great strength in your design for sure. This is one good looking pile of scrap metal my friend !

The only real weak spot I see on this is the wheel/spindle combo... ONLY because I have no idea what youre carrying. Some of the smaller combos aren't rated for a lot.

I have a ton of threaded black iron pipe. Its like what is used with oil tanks. I assume its actually steel and THe IP thing is just the pipe thread. Is that what this is? Do you think the IP would work. Its really cheap down at our local junk guy if I need more. What size are your tires?

Kenn, i think the IP pipe will be fine and the tires are from a riding mower (rear) not sure of the size

@@Robinson-Homestead mower tires?Those are bolted on. Will check those out. My mower has no spindle.Old Craftsman. Yt 3000. Nice welding on the pipe.Very neat.
