False Start Effect was just wow

16:00 - for risers it’s better to use pitch bend on the synth so you don’t get artifacts from a plugin. Default is usually set to only +2/-2 so you can increase those to taste.

For Tape Stop, I'll prefer to Stop all the instruments except Drums! Another method that I always use is "Bass Slide (automate the pitch) ". Just like the style of R&B back in 90s!

By the way: Now my question seems to have got an answer: I always asked myself what filter was used in Dream Theater‘s Album „Distance over Time“ in the song „Room 137“ at 3:59 to 4:03!
