Thanks for this ! I learnt so much in such a short time. At 77, I struggle with technology a lot. However, your calm style of teaching, and your ability to make your student feel that it’s ok to be a ‘rookie’ is empowering !

Excellent rundown of the stock compressors. I'm new to Logic Pro, and my mantra is always "use what's available to the best of your ability before upgrading" so this is exactly the review I was looking for!

Thank you so much for that run-through. I was really struggling to find an aftermarket plugin compressor that did what I wanted without breaking the bank. I honestly think what Logic has in the box now is quite adequate. The only style compressor I could see desiring, that they didn’t include, is an API 2500 & Distressor/Fatso. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks Michael! You're most welcome. The stock plugins are easy to overlook sometimes, but there's some great stuff included in Logic Pro. I've been enjoying Slate's FG-Stress compressor lately (distressor emulation). Cheers Georges

Hey! Just another awesome tutorial, thank you so much! One more request/suggestion: please add this pointer click highlight (you know, when you do a click it adds a visual effect like a water splash (?) around the pointer). It was not a problem at all when I watched your vids from a Mac, but now I’m watching it from an IPhone and everything is scaled down and sometimes it’s a bit tricky to understand where did you click. Still not a big problem, but I believe it can help a lot. Thank you one more time!

Clear, relevant information that demonstrates and compares the whole range of stock options in Pro X. Great stuff, thanks George. Question: wouldn't you place compression AFTER EQ to tame any energy from boosted frequencies?

This is the great debate! 🤣My thoughts are to usually do any corrective EQ first (remove any muddiness), then compression, then any additive EQ last. That way the compressor doesn't change any of the EQ boots I've made. I hope that makes sense. Cheers Georges

Hi i have simple question : how to get a better master? first of all mixing and export stereo track, then import the stereo track in Logic to work on the track by filters, eq, comp. etc, or is it possible make a stereo master directly form the mix of all the tracks ? thank you so much
