I have a th400 behind a pontiac 400 in a 65 c10. It shifts at 3200 rpm at full throttle. There is no kick down switch hooked up. When i hook up the kick down switch will it allow higher rpm before shifting

Turn your vacuum modulator screw clockwise, half a turn at a time. That should get you shift at a higher RPM and it will hold it there longer. Then test drive and see if you like it. Counterclockwise will do the opposite.
