This felt like a season finale, not an episode 4.

What I suspect will happen is the explosion will just like, teleport them all back to where they were plucked from the Timeline, and then Loki will have to find a way to re-find them all. Like, theoretically without the man-made loom-structure messing with things the Multiverse probably goes back to it's natural balance. The thing I'm wondering is... Power Dampener is down so.... The desk full of Infinity Stones might suddenly not be paper-weights. I also always suspected Loki swiped one in Season 1, so he might have an active Infinity Stone in his pocket.

I gotta say, I really appreciate these episode breakdowns. And hearing you deconstruct each character's motivations (or lack thereof) really helps with digesting the series. Also pointing out details, like how this episode looped back to tie in with the events of the 1st episode. I'm catching up from last week and I completely missed that in my viewing today.

Great recap, some of these are better than watching the episode itself. one of the recommended YT videos says that they announced Xmen, fantastic 4, secret wars, armor wars, season two of some shows, plus the ones Disney announced before, like echo, etc. it makes it hard to believe that they would accept that their shows aren't good and undo all of that. it would be great if they did, I don't think there is a TV series that I think would be missed or need to continue; it might even be better if they would go back to the original Ironman era, before space battles and nano tech and just focus on story instead of all the special effects which aren't that special anymore. Except OB, I think he and Miss Minutes should be the ones that survive.

If they decided to go another route, (people on the internet have been asking for Dr Doom for some time now anyway...) I wouldn't mind them do an animated series on the origin story of Kang leading to the first "multiversal war". Seeing what they did with Ultron and the Watcher in the What If series makes me think, if they bring in good writers, I think it could be epic!

Hey, Alachia! "Nice, juicy steak of a villain!" Lol. I think you underestimate the lure of a good key lime pie, though. So I was wrong about his spherical prototype being a miniature version of his spherical multiversal vessel in "Quantumania". It turns out the device was called a Throughput Multiplier. Who knew? I think Dox objected to Ravonna taking over unilaterally. That triangular boardroom was symbolic of a triumvirate council of judges, minutemen and analysts who all checked and balanced each other. Ooh, that compactor death was so squishy and drippy! Dark stuff. Great theory about Majors behind the scenes except that they've already gone full in on him as Kang in "Quantumania" where the end-credit scene reveals his endless iterations in the Council of Kangs led by his three most notable variants: Immortus, Rama-Tut and the Scarlet Centurion! Besides, the real-world video footage clearly shows the alleged victim partying at a nightclub moments after her supposed brutal assault. I think it's a lot of trumped-up hogwash.

Everything Everywhere All at Once, and SpiderVerse both of which this show is now cribbing from - are brilliant. It's in the way that you use it. When multiverse is driven by character and used to explore interesting themes it works. When its just a McGuffin and excuse for cameos and nostalgia like here, in No Way Home, in Flash, etc.. It does not work.

As usual your review is more entertaining than the show! The story seems much more exciting when you tell it. I found it really slow except for a couple effects shots that must have drained the reduced budget. Most of the episode showed off the nice sets while the characters stopped to deliver long passages of dense convoluted expositional dialogue. I feel expositional content should be kept to a minimum and be primarily limited to early in a movie or series. What bothered me the most was a visually claustrophobic feeling and the grim tone. The shrinking cube scene triggered my claustrophobia so I had to stop and finish the episode later but I would also say there is something claustrophobic and joyless about this season and especially this episode. For me the first season worked better, with its greater production values and more of that vintage Dr Who feeling. This season I’m not really invested in any of the characters and I have buyers remorse as my Miss Minutes clock seems creepy now 😜 My favorite bit was the Oroborous reference/ joke that was so on the nose it made me laugh.

Much of this series production design is based in "Fallout", specially 3 and 4. Miss Minutes is only another "Vault Boy".

I was so meh on The MCU going in, I spoiled some of Loki for myself with the trailer, wish I hadn't done that with hindsight, also I wonder if the automat is going to have some greater significance, twice now characters just kind of ended up there without planning it, and it just happened to be stocked full of Mobius favourite Key Lime pie.

I wouldn't be too critical of Victor Timely's invention. Even if the radiation had erased him and he got to the time loop machine at the end of the walkway, it still may not have worked.

I don't dig this show. The so called what the F moment falls flat because this is the THIRD TIME they've killed the big bad. And he is always super lame. Loki is always shaking in his boots about mighty Kang - which itself is bullshix since all he knows of the guy is that he let Sylvie kill him, yet this guy has never been a plausible threat to the Avengers. Not ever, not at all. He's an ordinary man who may eventually invent something time travel related thru bootstrap paradox..... [also known as garden variety time travel plot hole # 42]. So what. The idea that he or the TVA could rule the Cosmos is slightly less plausible than can't shoot straight storm troopers ruling a galaxy far far away. And this character they've created as a movie star fan service for Hiddleston is no longer Loki, sorry. He is a non-thinking man's Dr. Who. Nothing more. It's as if Disney Marvel doesn't know how to tell the story from the perspective of someone who is actually not a good person, but rather good at being bad. Add two more destroyed characters in Loki and Kang to a long list of casualties, post Endgame.

I do care to see who Mobius really is/was purely because I'm into Owen Wilson's performance and just want to see him have more screen time but I tell you... having the characters repeatably pose the question of "who is he really" is not a great choice as A) it's getting stale and B) it'll never live up to the hype. I don't even know what the show has going for it now in terms of a "dramatic question" because the time loop exploded (they failed), other than who is Mobius? For me I'd like some finality and hope they don't retcon this episode (AKA traveling back into the past to fix things). Preferably I'd like Loki to survive and it'd be his job to rebuild the TVA with all new variants. But I liked the ending, it really works as an "all is lost" moment, maybe it works too well. They didn't leave us with a shred of hope, but maybe what you said is right. Maybe giving back their magic will help. Let's hope Loki has a new goal going into the third act.

When they get pruned they're not dead they're just transferred to another planet. This is a kid's show so no blood or death or sex.

If it is a reset then when will it kick in for the whole marvel series? Edit : Like I remember watching Agents of Shield and the Netflix Marvel shows enjoying some aspects of all of it but in the back of my mind felt like non of these were major to the marvel movies and felt like standalones that at times probably conflicted with the marvel world but never took those aspects actually seriously, however with the Disney plus shows I although I do not watch most of them or I have not caught to most of this new phases, it feels like wow how would this really play out to the movies because what happen in this episode should actually affect all other material lol.

Oh have you watched Gen V part of the Boys universe that’s so good and what’s good about and rare it did not try and be The Boys …just take the story of one things said in the Boys show . Season 2 has been given ago.

Hollyweird always pretends to lift-up "disempowered" target audiences while completely mocking them at the same time.

im not watching loki and have no interest in doing so. but fudge me it sounds tedious with an absurd premise. nothing about this mess of timelines and variants appeals. what idiot thought that'd be fun? it just devalues every character and sounds a convoluted mess. massive bowl of poop soup.

Im pretty sure the next episode is going to be Mobius selling jet skies in Florida. I think our main team is going to be back in their timelines and we will be visiting them all with Loki and Sylvie. 2:18 _We don't need a guy to rule the world_ Not clear why they want to 'rule' the world - esp. miss minutes but it really is clear that they don't need Kang. Why would they need him. Miss Minutes has all the knowledge. Kang has never been anything more than an idiot. He is only formidable - because we know he has to occupy the 'big bad' role in this now extremely tiresome cliche super hero team up albatross.

I absolutely love this series so far. If the final 2 episodes R on par with the last 4 then this will overtake WandaVision as my favourite Disney+ show.
