Semboro had two OK 0-6-0F (fireless) locomotives which were so called because they 'suckled' their steam from the mill's boilers. The high pressure was such that the steam condensed to hot water as charging occurred but some of it turned back to steam when the regulator was opened.
As such, they had a limited range around the mill where, apart from shunting loris, they would marshal mud skips and deliver bagasse fuel to the locoshed.
Visitors could expect to see at least one charging event during an extended visit.
