I've seen a lot of war footage in my day, even some of the more grueling stuff from The Holocaust, but that clip just ruined my day, to be completely honest. It's not like it's explicitly gory or anything, it's just how pitifully the man becomes limp with death as the soldier who shoots him point-blank does not even flinch... I really wonder what the context behind that was.

Not all troops were treated like "shit", because warriors came home with pride and they would not allow that pride to be taken from them. Americans took pride in them!!!! I damn sure know they took pride in them. Understand that there was what was referred to as the "Domino theory" and it definately made sense at the time. And, who knows that our involvement in Viet Nam did not prevent it from happening or not? One thing is for sure, it did not happen.
