The media was also one of the reasons most of these men got booed and called baby killers when they returned back to the US. Should have just let these men do their jobs without a camera in their face on the front lines

Definitely wasn't expecting the clip at 4:14. Like damn. I've seen a lot of war footage in my day, even some of the more grueling stuff from The Holocaust, but that clip just ruined my day, to be completely honest. It's not like it's explicitly gory or anything, it's just how pitifully the man becomes limp with death as the soldier who shoots him point-blank does not even flinch... I really wonder what the context behind that was.

What was the point of all the work I did, all the studying I did, the scrimping and saving and always trying to do the right thing. It was all pointless. The ugliness of it. But this is like the invader view, from the invader side. Looks like they were totally undefended and had nothing, and the invaders were going to just cake walk all over them.

Not all troops were treated like "shit", because warriors came home with pride and they would not allow that pride to be taken from them. Americans took pride in them!!!! I damn sure know they took pride in them. Understand that there was what was referred to as the "Domino theory" and it definately made sense at the time. And, who knows that our involvement in Viet Nam did not prevent it from happening or not? One thing is for sure, it did not happen.
