Whats better, a battery hedge trimmer or a gas hedge trimmer? I share my opinions on what works for me. Comparing a Makita Dun500WZ and a Stihl KM94 with a short shaft hedge trimmer attachment.

Great video, if the batteries were cheaper I would happily switch everything.

Cheers, yes they do seem rather pricey, These makita batteries are alot cheaper than some of the other major brands, which is a plus. 👍

Great review mate, tool longevity is an issue and yes battery tools don't last as long, I generally earn more from the battery as i can use them longer. Have a great weekend mate 👍

Cheers Rob. Great video. Spot on what you said about maintaining your own kit. I've learnt loads this year sorting issues with my mower all from youtube. Was going to replace as 7 years old but thought its a good chance to learn how to look after my kit better. Cheers Andy

I have a Stihl combi petrol and a Stihl combi battery and hands down the petrol is by far the superior machine ,much better balanced and actually lighter too. The battery has its benefits but most definitely not with regards to cut quality and weight.

Yeh the weight put me off the battery kombi unit. If going for a stihl hedge trimmer it would be the hla66 for me any day. Cheers

KMA 135 R is just as powerful as its petrol brother and they both use the same blades... With grass trimmers I'd probably agree with you, unless you're prepared to chuck a couple of grand on batteries, but with pole hedge trimmers - battery takes the lead now methinks.

Did look at kma135 but decided against it. The likes of the stihl hla66 are more what i'd be looking for and would agree with you on the pole trimmers defo. I do want a battery grass trimmer but they eat batteries apparently so no good for my work. 👍
