Mahomes’ victory over the Bills, January 2022 is a difference maker to my mind. It’s like he went through an evolution beginning last year with the humiliation in the SB. This year 1st half he struggled but he evolved for the better, succeeding in the 2nd half of the season and culminating in his stunning comeback against the Bills in the playoffs. Now, he’s harder, stronger, smarter. He’s still going to lose to the Rams because the league’s primary purpose is the humiliation of Detroit, and he will lose to Brady next year because Brady wins the SB every other year, but then Mahomes gets another title. Go ahead and place your bets, you’re welcome.

Not taking anything away from Mahomes, one of the best in the game and will continue to be so for some time I am sure. Burrow came to a team that had 2 wins the season before and has almost single handedly brought the Bengals back to life. Mahomes came to a team that hadn't had a losing season for five years before he joined them and they were already quite talented and had Andy Reid, one of the great NFL coaches at the helm already. Burrows has changed the entire mentality of the Bengals along with Zac Taylor. As QBs they both are impressive but what Burrow has done for Cincinnati is damn near miraculous. Only time will tell the end of this argument, but I see great things from both of these guys in the future, but what Burrow has overcome and produced with what he had to work with from the start compared to Mahomes is more impressive to me.

Once at home (fans blamed the refs) and then at Arrowhead (fans blame the coach). Blame Joey B for being an absolute real deal monster. When Pat Mahomes turns the lights out at night, he asks his girlfriend to check under the bed to make sure Joey B isn't there to come out to get him again. When 9 has a title will you change your little tune?

@@jjconjsj324 Not really. Most people realize how super talented he is at a young age. The only thing keeping him from being in the conversation for best quarterbacks of all time is the fact he hasn't played in the league very long which will change when he has played a few more years and has another Superbowl or 2 under his belt (which I believe he will accomplish and probably more). I hear about how great Mahomes is all the time by our media and people around me and this is coming from a 49ers fan. He is hardly underestimated. People know he's gonna put up some huge numbers and get nervous seeing their favorite team playing against him.

Burrows is talented but Skip is reaching and he has definitely not proven he is better than Mahomes. Skip is just going against the grain and being the dissenting voice against Mahomes like he does to Lebron. Mahomes is once in a generation talent not just as a QB but also being compared to talent at any position. His accomplishments in his short career (like you said) is unprecedented. Burrow hasn't reached that level or even won a Superbowl yet. With these 17 game seasons and pass friendly era, Mahomes has the opportunity to bust all kinds of all time records and he probably will.

I hate when Skip just lies & says Patrick makes throws behind his back & between his legs. He's literally never done that in a game. I have seen him throw behind his back in practice so yes he CAN do that but NEVER in a game. 100%. He knows rodgers for the most part is pretty much down. Just way to many playoff failures for him to be a threat to Brady. But mahomes has broken so many records and has surpassed so many all time greats already, skip is hearing footsteps coming for Brady’s status. Mahomes was drafted to a ready made team. Already a playoff team and Super Bowl contender. Burrow was drafted to a team that had not won a playoff game in almost 30 years when he was drafted. Burrow has take the Bengals from 2 wins, to the AFC championship game with the worst Oline in football.

The Chiefs WERE NOT SB contenders before Mahomes came. They never made it to the AFC Championship game before Mahomes, let alone the SB. What are you talking about? And they were not the worst o-line in football. Burrow holds the ball too long, because he's trying to go deep with Chase.

Mahomes may be the greatest of THIS generation, but it’s hard to see him passing or even tying Brady at 7 championships. He’s even 0-2 against Brady in the playoffs. Last super bowl had a big impact on the GOAT debate.

In last years SB, SB 55, Mahomes did EVERYTHING you could ask him to do to try and win. He ran the whole game, sacked 3 times, made crazy/impossible throws but his offense couldn't catch to save his life.

It’s not like they have a bad roster though. Their defense is highly underrated and they have one of the best receiving corps in the league, the only glaring weakness is the OL. Mahomes walked into a better situation but Burrow is by no means carrying a bad team to the playoffs on his own.

We have yet to see what Mahomes looks like on an average or below average team. Under Mahomes the Chiefs have had one of if not the best roster in football. When Hill and Kelce age out or get injured we will see what Mahomes is. As for Burrow... We know what he is now guiding that roster he has past Mahomes and to the SB. It's not a stretch to say Burrow will be better all said and done but it isn't a lock either. Just have to see what Mahomes does with a less than all-star cast on offense around him.

We've also seen Burrow make several dangerous passes in these last 2 games and get picked off twice. He has been far from perfect. The hype is already out of control. Burrow will need to improve a lot to be one of the greats. Maybe it will happen and maybe it won't.

Those two are the gold standard. The 2020s will be an exciting time for football! These young qbs are following in the footsteps of Brady, Brees, Manning, Rodgers, etc. and they're doing it spectactularly. It's like the early 2000s all over again.

I did NOT realize Burrow's only a year younger than Mahomes. I didn't think Burrow would be good, now I think he's going to be an all time great. The kid just does not feel fear. He won't be as flashy as Mahomes, of course. We are in for some great games with these young bucks: Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Allen, Jones - I feel like I'm forgetting someone.

Yeah and he hasn’t accomplished nearly anything close to Mahomes. They’re off to a 1-3 start this year. Mahomes sits as the top QB talent of all time.

Cheifs fan here. Love Burrow and I'm excited for this game and his future, but stop it. Mahomes is the reason we have these crazy expectations for QBs now.

Two things. Skip, thank you for doubting Mahomes since his first snap in NFL. You come up with every excuse in the world to let off Baker, Dak, and whoever else you show bias towards. If Baker or Dak had the hardware (SB ring, MVP, SB MVP, four conference championships in their first four years) you would be thinking they were the next GOAT. I guess there is something about Mahomes you don't like. Please never ever jump on the Mahomes band wagon. Not welcome. Second, anyone who thinks year after year that the Cowboys can do something special makes me question their judgement on many levels. There were many Chief seasons where I knew it wasn't their year. Even when they were going to the playoffs. As long as they have Jerry Jones they will never win. As long as they have DAK they will never win. The more you think the Cowboys can do something special the more "washed" you look.

They are both incredible QBs and will both be at the top of the league for years. I'm sure they will beat each other throughout their careers based on their surrounding teams. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert. Whoo boy. AFC is gonna be loaded with top tier offenses for years.
