Longboarders from the Original crew hit up some of the Beast Coast's best terrain. A true blend of longboarding styles, riders and boards; longboard freeride, with no hype, no hassles and no cars to worry about. This video has nothing to do with wheels, freeride or otherwise.
All longboards ridden in this video were made by Original Skateboards. All trucks are Original S6, S8 or S10 longboard trucks.
It is official. The word freeride has now been played out.

God I miss these videos when it wasn't all about the tricks, i really think this is what sold the boards. Really hope you bring out more like the older ones because you really are the only ones who could make a video this amazing :)

@@originalskateboards Hey, another Aaron! I was feeling nostalgic and looking through old videos and I feel the same way. There was a feeling way back when that Original captured, but looking through their videos from the last better half of the decade, they lost. It's not about the boards or the tricks, it'd the adventure, friends, and slowly enjoying every inch you ride over. My 45 has been in a closet the last 4 years but I haven't forgotten deep carves or bombing long hills on the way to class and how it felt good to forget the world and bad to get off the board because it's where I wanted to be.

I remember watching this video about 3 years ago and wanting to longboard so bad afterwards. I didn't act on it though until about a year ago, just want to thank you Original for inspiring me been in love with it ever since.

Sitting here in Rainy Gothenburg with my knee swollen to the size of a basketball, this film gave me some great escapism to accompany my morning coffee. Keep on doing what you're doing Original. I am getting out on the hills as soon as this knee is fixed. Happy Summer everyone.

dude every company needs to be like this. you guys are big enough to be widley known but still small enough to give actual feedback. you guys are truely a revolution and as for loaded. alot of my friends ride loaded, im hooked on original anyways so i could care less. as long as i got someone to ride with im happy. keep on keepin on! -nick

I grew up in the Adirondacks. It is good to see people enjoying them as you guys did. Love the videos. It gave me a taste of my home. Got to love the mountains.

Not only is the montage fantastic, I love that you incoporate the envioronment that creates this unbelieve ride for you. Lovin the video concepts that you r coming up with -keep up the great work!

Hey Jmey, The black springs are the standard springs that come stock on all of our boards and they provide the least resistance. The red springs have a bit more tension and work well for downhill and freestyle but still allow tight carving. The white springs are the heaviest tension and will provide maximum stability at the expense of maneuverability. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Beautiful video bombing hills is all good but this is what its all about.. The movement the feel of the road i have only been doing this sport for a very short time but this to me is the heart and soul of what long boarding is..

Guys, I've just ended whatching you sessions in Puerto Rico and they were simply pieces of art, I agree with the guy that say you should take part of film festivals. Oh, If you liked Puerto Rico, you should visit Mexico, we have beautiful landscapes with a lot of mountains (downhills)! Also we have every year a International Film festival and would be great to see you short movies in the big screen. Continue with your work!! You have talent!

@Aznman808fosho I would recommend the Pintail 46 or 43. The 46 will provide more stability, but the 43 will be a little bit more maneuverable. With either one, I would suggest getting a set of red springs for added stability. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey BH, We get up to about 35 - 40 mph on them. They only seem loose because they are designed to carve harder than any other truck, but because of the wavecam and spring mechanism, they rebound to center after every carve. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey ninm, Speed wobbles are usually due to improper stance. Make sure that you keep your front foot over the front mounting bolts, which attach the trucks to the deck, keep your weight forward over the nose and as center as possible. This will give you more stability with either a short or long board when going fast.

I can still picture in my head riding up in the back bed of a truck passing those rock walls and seeing the town and lake, and walking out on the rocks to get an even more amazing view of the area from the top by the sign.

Hey NAVY, Our trucks are designed for serious carving, but the good thing about them is that they are spring loaded which returns you to center after each carve, and you can upgrade to the red springs to restrict the carving capabilities. That being said, I think that the Custom 35 would be an excellent board for you to commute around campus with and hit up some hills!

You guys really came up with a great design on these. Sk8boarding has forever needed an upgrade in the trucks department and I know these are the future of trucks. Hey Heist, You can absolutely load S10s, with S10s the Torpedo can take up to 85mm wheels, which are a SICK combination.

Coolest thing ever I'm actually skiing whiteface this weekend it's only a 5 and a half hour drive from where I live I love going up there and have always thought about long boarding down the memorial highway there but someday I will I do always bring my longboard when I go up there it's prolly the most peaceful place to do his LOVE IT

Hey bechill, The Apex and dervish both ride completely different from one another. The Apex is much more aggressive, and mounted with Original Trucks, will have unmatched carving capabilities with rebound and response that no other trucks provide. The Apex is a great all-around board that will take to the hills, but still be able to relax on flatland and do some cross stepping and dancing. The dervish is more easy-going and will be more stable for dancing. Hope this helps you out!

This is so epic. This is what it's like to longboard every day in Alaska. Drive 30 min out of my town and you got mountains, beast hills, and beautiful sunsets/sunrise. No gaurds to sneak by either, although that def added to the experience and fun. You guys should try coming to AK sometime. It's a long trip, but it should be worth. Chances are slim, but I hope I skate with you guys some day. From what I have seen you guys board for the same reasons I do. Just go longboard! :)

Hey dakota, Good question! We're interested in getting more and more people involved because longboarding is still in it's early stages and is really taking a turn of progression all around the world! We're focused on having longboarding recognized as a sport and not just as something you do.

Hey Rosey, It makes it a bit easier, The only problem is that it really doesnt dampen the turning. Regardless of the spring tension the board will still lean over just as far and turn just as tight, it will just require more torque to make it do that. The dancing stuff is going to be trickier because in essence that stuff is VERY hard to do on a surfboard, your Original is a much more accurate surfing representation. Dancing on traditional trucks does not equal nose walking on a surfboard.

Hey Steven, The Torpedo would be the way to go for you if that's the board you've been looking at. The only other board I would recommend is the Apex 37 which will be in stock at the end of the month!

Hey Jmey, We do have the white springs in stock and they cost $12. Just keep in mind that depending on your weight, they may severely reduce the carving ability of your board. You may want to check out the red springs before the white.
