I’m from Longview. I’ve lived in Maine for about a year and a half now. Today the homesickness is overwhelming. Today I want to go home. This is a wonderful way to visit home away from home. So many summers walking and riding around town. So many memories. Thank you for this. I’m tearfully watching. I do miss home something awful some days

I love Longview, and I love Cowlitz County in general (coming from someone who lives in Vancouver) The area has such a nostalgic feel, like you're stepping back into the 20th century.

I am not a big commenter, but I had to comment on this. I am from Castle Rock, but spent equally as much time of my life in Longview. I moved a big distance away, and while I don't completely find myself "homesick", I absolutely miss the area I was born and raised in. So, I want to say, thank you for this. It's the closest I can feel to my old home without the long distance drive.

I lived in Longview from 1989 till about 1996. I attended RA Long from 1989 till 1992. I only live about 45 mins away now.

Thanks for the video, I use to live in Longview and Kelso about 20yrs ago, and I've lived in many countries around the world and many States around the country from the east coast to Westcoast, North America to South America, I live in Thailand now, but I have to say that Longview and Kelso area has always been my favorite place. People truly don't know what they have until it's gone. Take it from a guy who's been around the block a few times. You're lucky to live there. I love Cowlitz County.

Born here,and my siblings. I was youngest and I know we lived on willow st is all I know. Moved to woodland, green mountain road. Then 2nd grade moved to Kansas right before st Helen's blew. Lived here ever since.

It's true that Longview is still in rough shape, but I have always felt this is a city ripe for a turnaround. It has good bones.

You mist a lot. Like Lake Sacagawea, it has a cinema garden too.

Shitty town with nothing to do. And people like it here? You got tweakers roaming around at night, no quality restaurants. Residents barely support the new businesses that come through here because they end up going out of business after a year or so. So much traffic going in and out of this town. Unless you live in the boonies and out in the sticks you aren’t going to find a very quiet area to live in unless you live in Old west side Longview. Tons of seniors live here. It’s very low ranked in terms of the best places to live. It’s an industrial town that smells awful. It has over cast, rainy weather year round except the summer months. And oh yeah, nothing to do. I live right there on Nichols and 20th avenue, this person driving passes right by my house. The town fucking sucks. My wife and I are about to leave for good. And thank god too.
