Yea I call bullshit on her "struggle" to find a man. I lived in LA for two years as a young engineer and I can say first hand that the culture glorifies entertainers. Women like her would turn their nose up at my friends and I in clubs and bars. Not all women were like that do I refuse to over generalize like her but there are plenty of women in that city trying to live a certain lifestyle which they refuse to compromise anything for. Having lived in L.A. the majority of my adult life, you're free to generalize. Basically, there are three glorified industries/professions here - (1, as you mentioned) Entertainment (T.V., Feature film, Music, Pro sports (2) Tech - Hang out on the west side of town, north of LAX, and listen to random conversations. (3) Legal profession - particularly if one is a high position attorney that works in entertainment or finance. Then, there is a fourth sub-genre which straddles the realm of both entertainment & legal: Professional representation (Agents) that have clients in the field of entertainment. As for the subject of this video....frankly, sounds (read: intonation, vocabulary) like the "typical" BF that attends USC, majoring in T.V. and Film. (for out of towners....yes, one can indeed attend USC and major in T.V. and Film.)

A "9" doesn't "get" a rapper or NBA player. Those men are the choosers, and they can have any woman they want since _practically_ all the women are going for them. For them, the barrier is simply what's _available._ If there are no "9s" around, they'll _accept_ an "8". No "8s," then a "7" will do. So on and so forth.
