I'm just going to focus a bit on the very last part of the video because the other aspects of it have been quite thoroughly covered in the comment section. And what I mean is Kevin specifically asking her if she's kind. She has shown that she has no idea what he was talking about! And I honestly believe that mature people, ESPECIALLY around her age should have already looked into and understood the difference between being NICE and being KIND by then! The term she was trying to look for in describing Kevin was NICE, telling him that that he wasn't nice to her. Which I can say she'd be entitled to given the term is all about the perception you'd have about someone's demeanor/language (since, also, there's just the 2 of them in this conversation). And mind you, even this is just HER opinion. A better/more agreeable truth would be decided by a collective of people able to take their own biases out of the equation. But I digress. Being nice is about appearance. Being KIND is about goddamn character, it's about who someone is at their core. Mind you I'm not a psychologist, but I did study it a bit, especially through observing and listening to people. And when I learned about this difference from a therapist (never went to one, it's just that as part of my self development I've decided to listen to such people and then try to judge things for myself) - it stuck with me, because it's so true! To add to it, what I've observed is that kind people can exude the marks of a nice person effortlessly. They don't need to actively construct that image because deep down, behind close doors where few people would have access to, there's a different story (ergo, for instance, the case of narcissists). The same thing with reputation. There's also one thing preventing me from ever seeing her being kind: her ego. I have never in my life seen an egotistical person be, in all honesty, kind. Nice - sure. For most egotistical people (if not all) it's a necessity to maintain such an image in order to attract approval and admiration. Throughout the conversation there are many aspects that add to her ego, but the moment that stuck with me most was when she was asked to rate her appearance and she answered 10. I haven't watched a lot of KS videos (so I'm gonna ask here if there are many similar examples like her on his channel for this kind of question), but this was a 1st for me 😂I mean there's confidence, but I bet my ballsack this isn't the confidence she thinks she has. And the way she's willing to die on this hill when Kevin disagrees: facial expression, language, her defensive attitude - all the signs I'm seeing here hint toward a fragile ego. But maybe I'm in the wrong here as to why the image is so important to her. Maybe I fail to quantify how much that matters to a woman even if I'm aware that attractiveness is one of the core aspects a man would look for when deciding to pursue. And you might understand where I'm going with in the next example, when a man would usually struggle to honestly answer to "does this dress make me look fat?". Seen many instances where boys are told to be nice to girls. And as they grow up, they're the ones approaching them to ask on a date, develop communication skills to be sweet talkers and to work towards being charismatic. Threading the line as to not be negative about anything. And at the same time women accepting and encouraging the 'sweet little lies' once they happen. How could you fully commit to being honest then? Friendly reminder though: I wouldn't condone straight up rating your SO's looks in front of them, EVEN IF they ask. DON'T! What KS does is for the purpose of collecting data as he's the 3rd party who's trying to give them a somewhat realistic outlook on their situation. Notice how he asks how THEY rate themselves on looks - he most likely has his own opinion on that, but he's more interested in how they think and appreciate themselves in the context of the world surrounding them. He's using their rating as part of his 'equation' which takes into account multiple other factors. Also, I'm with him when it comes being indulgent with his scores. Put yourselves in this woman's shoes: you come in there thinking the problem's not with you, that you're a f-ing 10 lmao, and he straight up rates you a 3 after more a in depth conversation. Add a fragile ego into the mix, you flip him off and no content for us to watch 🙂
