Nice one mate. What I found over the years is that a lot of apprentices don't really want to be there so have no passion for their trade when they qualify. That's when you get bad trades as it's just another job. The best trades are people with passion.

Nice video, how much site experience does it take before you can consider yourself a bricklayer and not an Improver or apprentice. I would guess a couple of years, I know it's different for everyone, what do you think mate? Thanks

Nice video Stu, brings back some memories, unfortunately during my apprenticeship I was treated like a dog, hardly got time on the trowel, had us used as cheap Labour, this is very common in Australia sadly, the building game is a dog eat dog world down here! The trade itself is an excellent craft to learn, I still do the odd job here and there

23 mate youre never too old just go for it. dont not do things because of the fear of what others say about you. :)

You're like cliff Richard u don't age lol..It's true tho u don't get many passionate young brickys on site nowadays it's all about the money and price work it's these times, being on the hod for most of my life I've seen some truly shocking work! The old skool brickies are dying out slowly but Stu and rob have a few years left in them lol
