Yo. I know this video was made a while back. I just wanted to say that I use this knot most of the time. Simple and fast to tie. Im also a fresh water fly fisherman and use this knot with my wooly buggers and some dry flies. Very natural presentations using this knot. GREAT video. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your version of the loop knot. I tend to use the advertised "mirrolure" loop knot version as claimed. Your version seems to have an extra loop thrown into it but seems more secured. Will try that out next time and thanks again!

John I do use fluorocarbon leader but I don't use any swivels, less hardware is better. I have a good "line to line tie with Jerry McBride" on my channel. Have a great day.

Nice pic of your Gator Trout at Dick's Sporting Goods caught on D.O.A. lure and jig. Just used my first Kayak yesterday. Trout is all I caught at the Thousand Island area. Any recommendations on catching Red's? Still haven't caught one yet. (Fingers Crossed)

Are you tying braid direct to the doa or with a leader? Two questions... is that a strong knot for braid (without a leader) and do you ever fish the doa shrimp tied straight to braid or do you always want a less visible leader?

Yeah Fluorocarbon is the best leader by far in my book. Invisible and better fish improvement in my opinion.
