It was fantastic, better than I anticipated. The attention to detail was incredible. Austin was spot on. Baz did a great job with all of the research, cinematography and story.

Totally AGREE!!! It’s my understanding also that he has won so many breakthrough awards with his performance. He “immersed” himself into that role with with his acting, his singing, his dancing and gyrations! He focused on everything that made Elvis who he was. Exceptional Work, Austin Butler. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌺❤️❤️‼️‼️

His ACTING was INCREDIBLE. NOT his voice. His voice was passable.

I've studied the life, music and career of elvis presley longer than you've been alive. If you fail to understand what I am talking about, YOU have a low IQ. Baz Lurhman specifically chose a few songs that were very easy for Austin's limited voice. 90% of the film, it's actually elvis's chameleon ever changing voice. Even early on. It's elvis in the background on multiple songs. Austin only does a few. Understand?

Baz Lurhman specifically chose a few songs that were easy for Austin's limited voice. An expert like myself can pick out elvis's chameleon ever changing voice immediately. It's elvis as Jimmie Rogers Snow puts on the record player early on. It's elvis on "I'm coming home" at the motel, early on. It's elvis throughout. Austin gets to do. "Trouble", "baby let's play house" And a few snippets here and there. Please don't embarrass yourself. By the way, Austin's acting is PHENOMENAL. OSCAR WORTHY. DON'T argue with me honey. I'm the foremost expert on this particular subject

I definitely agree. But now Brendan Fraser has come into the picture from his work on “The Whale” which didn’t get great reviews but it’s a comeback for him having been out of the limelight for so long. I think there may be a very close race there. If two actors did so well in their part, why not give it to both of them. That’s what I’m also thinking about with Cate Blanchett against Michelle Yeoh!! I would love to see Michelle win. This is another race that will be tight. I’m rooting for Michelle and I think Cate Blanchett is an amazing actress and I’m sure she deserves the kudos, but she’s won before and want to see someone else get the kudos like Michelle.

@@joyceapetterson4560 I totally agree with what you’re saying about Michelle. She was absolutely amazing in Everything Everywhere All At Once. And it’s definitely going to come down between Austin and Brendan but Austin has to get it, with all the years of research and perfecting every part of Elvis. And Brendan played a fictional character so the expectations weren’t that high for him unlike with Austin who not only had to play a real life person but a icon like Elvis

I understand that for Fraser this is a comeback after having been gone for awhile, but I’m still going to root for Austin. And this was a breakthrough performance for Austin Butler! I was sorry to see that Baz Luhrmann was up for director. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand the academy.
