I always marvel at painters who demonstrate wearing lovely clothes with scarves, and I think "Do you really paint in those clothes?" because if I did that, all my nice clothes, especially the scarf, would be covered in paint LOL.

Is Moon glow another name for a Violet based watercolor? Is it Winsor Newton? If you ran out, what color would you substitute for Moon Glow? Or would you mix indigo and a magenta to get your proper shade to continue? ORRR...any dark blue or blue violet should do....Right? I am a retired Illustrator from the BOEING Co. of Seattle, and am trying to get back into watercolor! I had a College Water Color class back in "75", and was nominated as the best Mud Puddler in the class! Taa-Daa. Not bad for a Man! Huh?
@kradish67649 жыл бұрын
digiphot2 - I think Moonglow is only made by Daniel Smith. I know they sell a paint by that name, and I've not heard of any other makers using that name. Supposed to be a blinder for shadows.

should test with the back of your hand or finger, not the palm or fingertips, so as not to leave oil behind which will show up in the final effect

gorgeous!! I'm just starting w/acrylics (heavy body). Before I make any other investment, can you pls tell me what the difference is between 'fluid, flow acrylics, ink' & concentrated water colour?...I love the way the paint disperses on the paper & the freedom given here. Thanks in advance. Lisa

or at least Daniel Smith has a paint that is called "moonglow" that is very similar in appearance to what she used in her demo. Since this is a SAA products video, must also be in their catalog? I have not used their paints as they are not as readily available. Do enjoy the instructional videos!
