Aaaarrrrrghhhh!!!!! It's those finishing touches, creating shadows, deepening color, and a few well-placed lines that totally vex me!!!! I want to train my eye to see those "happy mistakes" and expound on them to create my own loose paintings. Wah!!!!! Why can't I do that?

I’m always in awe of your style and confidence! Gorgeous work always. Do you work from a reference photo? I always try to guess where you are going to apply paint next. You have me mystified. But it works beautifully. I don’t think one can learn this easily.

If you lightly Spray the Back of Your Water Color Paper and tape that side down on to a beveled sheet of glass this process will help keep THE PAPER FLAT WHILE PAINTING AND AFTERWARDS...

Hi Andrew, I just love the looseness of this painting! You use pyreline green quite a bit! I don’t have that, but how could I make it myself? Is it a blue-green, grey-green? I love the depth of color but I have many greens ere and would like to use what I have. Can you help me by relating the undertones of the color? Thanks! Judy

Hi Linda, thanks for your kind comments, yes I use a large size 16 brush a Rigor size 3 and a 1/2 inch flat brush for this painting...
