So happy to see you back with a video, Kathryn, and a Looxi one, too! Thank you for taking one for the team-I think all of us Looxi stans out there were eyeing the swatches of the new collection on the website and questioning the lack of sparkle. This is so sad! I sincerely hope they can get back to the types of shades that made them an absolute standout.

I have never clicked on a video so fast! I didn’t end up buying any from this release or the last one because they didn’t look very sparkly. I’m bummed they aren’t the Looxi we love. I found you from a Looxi video and I appreciate your videos so much! Thank you for the swatches!

I think we can all agree that Looxi is run as a hobby brand and we are going to get what we get. I’ve been ordering from the brand since 2021 and I adore 95% of the huge collection I have amassed . I love when they open their vault like they do multiple times a year and you can get shadows from pre 2020 collections. I have noticed that the new collections since 2020 have been up and down in terms of formulas. As such, this new collection does not surprise me as it reminds me of how I felt about the Fall Edit 23 one as well as the Fall o Ween collection in 2022. However, I feel like you never know when they will give you a collection like Faerie Tales (March 2022), Happy Hour (may 2022) or even Eye Candies (spring 2023). These collections have had some really great formulas and shades offerings The popular formulas from the brand tend to be the very sparkly shades of which I like but I also like their metallics and grungy duo-chromes I don’t think anything strange is going on behind the scene or with the brand lately. This is how they have been since I started ordering in 2021. They have had minimal social media plugging and have been keeping a very low profile in the beauty space. OFCOURSE some things could improve from the brand’s side to make us more aware of the formulas and the shadows are before we purchase them. But at the price point, it’s a minor complaint.

Thank you for reviewing this collection, I received some of the shades and am waiting for the rest except for hunni and I actually was disappointed that it wasn’t the sparkly shifty formula, they normally have, except for Royalti which I thought was the most sparkly, I hope Looxi starts making the sparkly shifty formula for future collections because this one made me sad

I got a Looxi gift card for Christmas and was super excited to use it when this collection came out, but the swatches on the website looked so lackluster I didn't end up getting anything. Edit: I also found it super weird that they didn't post swatches of this collection on their IG!

Yayyy! Not only a Kathryn vid, but looxi!? 😍💖 Oh no... I may have spoke too soon! That's super disappointing about the new collection. I wonder if they can no longer get the same pigment? OR maybe they're trying to alter their formula to be less silicone-y? Which bums me out.

Right at the beginning of this year, I bought a bunch of Looxi shades as I was making a custom palette for my cousin for her birthday. I bought a bunch of ones that I already had and loved. Almost all were identical, except one: gingerbread. It was totally different. Like, to the point where I think they actually may have sent me the wrong shadow. I don't dislike it, but it definitely isn't the same shadow. Like at all. I have a few shades that I've panned that I want to repurchase before any more get purged from the site, and I'll probably do that very soon. I plan on posting in the IMAM subreddit about what I find!

I skipped this collection, but I bought the new one they dropped the other day. The new one looks more on par with their shimmery formula. I love looxi, I have over 100 shades from them.

Thanks for doing this video. I have around 100 Looxi shadows. I always look for the more flakey ones. I definitely see the difference here. I skipped this collection.

I loved ritz & glitz so I repurchased it in my salted clouds order and they r completely different. The new one is much deeper, not as sheer and less sparkly. I was very disappointed bc ritz & glitz isn’t that old and I wish they marked it as reformulated and changed the swatch pic

I honestly don’t mind a more subtle or satiny formula sometimes. I love Looxi’s special shades but I also have some of their more metallic or mess impactful shades from years ago that I also enjoy.

I used to buy every collection that Looxi released, but the last two I didn't pick anything up. I'm not a fan at this point, and I have supported the brand for YEEEEARS, basically since they started out. I now have no desire to try out more from looxi.

I thought they were going out of business when they put everything up for final sale. I guess its not much of a surprise that the shadow quality has gone down with this new release 😢

On the sale they actually separated categories into shimmers, metallics and Auroras, so you know the Auroras are the shifty, sparkly ones, but I wish with new collections they would let you know what formula it is for each shade, I mean don’t get me wrong they have fabulous pricing but it would be nice to know what you are purchasing and I thank them for keeping the price low though

Is this new formula more foiled? I don’t mind the shadows not being very sparkly with the fine glitter pieces as I prefer a smooth foiled metallic look. I didn’t like Looxi’s older dry formula (like Duperstar).

The last launch of theirs I was remotely impressed with was the candy one (Jellybean, Licorace Lace). I think they're running out of color combos. Lol

Looxi has made too many changes. It seems they might be moving away from eyeshadow because the landing page is taking me to a pricey body scrub ? Im so glad I have a good looxi collection in my stash. It may soon be no more..

I ordered Nudi from Salti Cloudz, and Chilly I found on the website. Chilly is amazing. Used it in a recent experimental look and got good feedback on IG. Haven't used Nudi yet because it's a bit underwhelming and "dirty" grungey. My first order prior to these 2 singles contained Red Hot (very chrome flakey rose color) and Dark Side of the Moon (sparkly flaky duochrome that looks great as a one -and-done shadow on olive skin). Nudi definitely is more common compared to the other 3 that have bright finishes.

Hey everyone! Can anyone tell me if it's normal for an order to take over 2 months and counting to get? I've tried to reach out to Looxi but they've been unresponsive. 🤔🙄

If anything I'd say it's typical Looxi behaviour. For a while now I have been suspecting that the eyeshadows aren't hand pressed and that they are made in a lab. When she announced she reformulated, the eyeshadows that came right at that time were also disappointing, they were really dry and hardly had any sparkle ,before she started selling the very dimethicone-y eyeshadows. So I think this is her changing labs again. Then again Razzle Dazzle from one of the previous collection looks and acts the same, it's shiny without being overtly sparkly. So maybe they are meant to be that way. Also her shades are very dupable. I was able to find dupes in my collection for more than half of the shades I ordered a few months ago. It's not that worth it for folks who aren't in the US.
