Note that Metron didn't "relent" until the moment Ma'alefa'ak telepathically called Lor Zod a Kryptonian. You can tell that Metron overheard it, and the moment he did, he formulated every step of the plan that would be Lor Zod's undoing. The kryptonite and the red cloud were just to delay Lor Zod and company while Metron set everything in motion. The instant Metron had that one piece of information, Lor Zod was already doomed.

@michealharrison2219 He overshadowed the whole season as the main antagonist and had a good arc. His death was a good way to wrap things up and his death has been positively recieved. The Phantom Zone Kryptionians are still around, though now in statis. If the show returns, they can easily be brought back. They also set up Kara Zor-el as a major threat. Emerald Empress is also still out there. They left things in a position to get very interesting if they can get another season.

I don't quite understand why Metron didn't just kill them right there, I mean, while they were down. Mantis was the only one able to move, and that was with a lot of strain and pain, like.... use your chair and kill them, I mean, Lor-Zod was getting his Kryptonian powers weakened by the sun eater, meaning he was barely above human level resistance, aka squishy and ready for squashing.

I don't understand why it would take so long for Lor-Zod's team to find the phantom zone projector. Did Lor and M'comm forget the fact that they both have telescopic and x-ray vision or in M'comm's case martian vision. Not to mention that they both have super speed and can fly. I get that Metron's vault is massive considering it's an entire pocket dimension and they needed to dodge the sun eater, but with their powers working together I'm surprised they hadn't found it already.

Since I’m grown up, I can’t enjoy ben 10 like I used to be. I cannot stop myself from imagining how it is easy to kill Ben. Exposing information about him to internet, snipe him, brain wash all of his friends and family to kill him, cut his arm off… Ben was always saved by plot armour and stupid enemies who just let him go.
