This weeks adventure was three more Wainwright fells in the Lake District. We'd planned to do something bigger but with low temps and high winds forecast we opted for plan B and found a lower level walk with plenty of shelter.
Our plans were ruined slightly when we arrived at Whinlatter Forest. Most of the trails were closed off due to logging, so our intended route had to be scrapped. This meant a longer walk than planned and we had to do the three Wainwrights in a different order.
First up was Lord's Seat, then we headed up our second mountain which was Broom Fell, before retracing our steps and heading down to Barf. The views from here were spectacular, out over the Lake District and seeing the snow capped mountains in the distance really was great.
A really enjoyable day out and as we had not managed to get out much due to the bad weather, it was nice to be back in the fells again.
