Lord Shiva is a very Very Prominent and complex personality in The Indian Scriptures just like all other Deities, understanding whom is not as easy as understanding a comic book character or a God from Greek or other mythologies. His stories often give the deepest life lessons about spirituality, the true meaning of infinite bliss, and inner strength. Then for everything to exit and for the different functions of the existence parashiv manifested into Sadashiv (another manifestation of Shiva) and from him comes the other manifestation that are different aspects of the same one Supreme Shiva and they are ishvar or bhagwan that we see in these stories Lord Brahma as the creator, Lord Vishnu as the preservor, Lord Rudra (another form of shiva) which is the destroyer and Rudra manifest into 11 other Rudras (all different forms or manifestation of Shiva) and one from them is the Lord Shiva/Shankara the one resides in Kailash which the stories in this video is mostly revolved around. This is not enough information i was trying simplify it there are more to this. Hinduism is ever evolving. It's mostly good but some bad aspects of that is that Vaishnavas started to claim that Buddha was one of Vishnu's avatars etc after Buddha died and his teachings started gaining traction. But the good thing is that whenever a great being comes along who is clearly self realized like Ramakrishna Paramhamsa or Ramana Maharshi, they can be easily revered as gods without any formal acceptance by any representative of Hinduism as it really is very lenient in such matters.

That is why God's/Goddess' acts have meaning and are already incorporated into Niyati. The Kalachakra (wheel of time) must continue to spin, and each act is interconnected. Your actions may alter the path, but the outcome will be the same. One simple example is death.

These are not part of the mainstream hindu ideals, as far as shiva is concern he lives with the tormented souls and take away their vices to grant them moksha or liberation, he controlled the flow of ganga to avoid destruction of the civilization, he protects when he is needed, he is beyond temptation or, human tendencies, he shows human qualities when he takes form and the core of shiva is formless, he is the source of creation and destruction as he is 1 of the three forms of Brahman the ultimate reality along side vishnu and brahma, he doesn'tneed to take power from anyonehe is already all powerful, he just does things that are human to show human tendencies can be surpassed, i don't know whom you guys are watching but, it appears they don't have much idea about Hinduism and have just considered some of the useless commentaries on the actual tails of shiva from puranas rather than actual texts and commentaries from upanishads, the tails are correct but, comentaries, portrayal and interpretation of the text is completely out of the actual text and the philosophy of Hinduism, this video seem to be like 1 fact with 2-3 bogus interpretation and misrepresention, kinda format, please get better sources next time, because these are not too credible stories from different books, some of which are less than 500 years old which is practically unreliable so most of what you heard here is absolutely wrong and comes from unrecognized sources

First and foremost thing, There are somethings the guy said and aren't mentioned in the actual scriptures. The video it self is a collaboration from stories in different scriptures that include Shiva. There are forms of shiva. And it's very interesting to hear about the 3 forms. You may even think it's something scientific and to make commoners aware of the phenomenon, sages put it into a form of story. Shiva is Nothingness in his first form. He's formless, undisturbed, silent, doesn't have any physical form or attributes. But then shakti(the wife of shiva) creates a sort of disturbance. The dhyanalinga you mentioned in an old video is a shivalingam(the infinite form of shiva. It doesn't necessarily means that shiva was of that form. No, but it's symbolises him being formless. Here when shiva is just sitting let's say shiva is a dot, undisturbed. Shakti creates a disturbance by dancing all around him. He's still controlling it but after a certain point he can't stay silent anymore and then he roars. The moment he roars, he spit out the entire universe. At that point of time, shiva became rudra(the furious one). The formless shiva is also known as kala(time). Shiva after transforming into rudra, filled with ecstasy, started dancing in a certain way which is now know as Tandav. After dancing for a long long time, he realised that maybe he doesn't even need to dance and just sat down in silence. And he felt the same joy, ecstasy as he felt while dancing. Shakti(power) is as powerful as shiva. This concept is relatively odd to hear for some. But Shakti being shiva's wife, is as powerful as him. She's helping shiva in everything he does. Without her interference and disturbance, there's nothing, that can disturb shiva in any way. They create the whole universe together. Later on, there a Mystical yogi, who suddenly appeared on eart, at the time humans were just getting to know themselves. They say this yogi, simply sitting in kailasha Mountain with no colthes to cover himself from snow or anything. They were curious, trying to know about this mysterious yogi. They at sat down in front of him, waiting for him to open his eyes. When he does so, they're all filled with questions and questions in their mind. The first one of his disciples being the Saptarishi's. Nd then he start telling them, not about himself, but about the universe, how it was made, about the humans, how they can get liberation nd everything. At first when they called him the Aadiyogi(ancient sage) cze none knew from ehere he came. Later on when they gotta know about Shiva(the creater of the whole universe), they started calling him shiva as well due to the similarity between the shiva they experienced in by seeking the truth and the Aadiyogi. He taught them how a human can actually transform their life. They didn't believe him, but tried to things he asked them to do, nd when they say a positive change, the thing aadiyogi told them was already in their experienced till then, so there was nothing like "God" in their minds at first. Later on, Aadiyogi gave them the knowledge of Yoga, chakras in the body, dance, music, singing, nd much more. All his disciples had the same non believer's attitude all this time nd ig we Indians are born non believers only😂. So then they noticed, that shiva doesn't stay for long on that mountain, he always came, left, came nd left. It happened for like thousands of years and there wasn't a slight bit of change in his age, facial appearance or anything. Literally ages and generations of humans witnessed shiva in different time periods. He came along with some distorted being who were not humans, nor any kind of animals and anything alien to humans is scary. But shiva somehow managed to transform himself into the form of a human being(sounds like a shapeshifter right? But there more to it). He was unique among all his ganas(being who visited eath along with him). Nd the ganas seemed to follow shiva as their leader. There's a lot more to it nd i think i'll have to write down the whole book to explain it to you but it's a part of what Shiva is in the yogic Culture. There's one Shiva, creater of this universe. nd there's Aadiyogi, who just like shiva also called as Shankar in some texts. Shankar sometimes is shown meditating in from of a shivalingam(the symbol of infinity i.e. the formless shiva). And even in shiva puran, Sadashiv is the ultimate or supreme, the creater, God. And Shankar is an incarnation of Shiv or Sadashiva.

This video was filled with so many mistranslations, omissions and jumbling of multiple events across the Puranas. Puranas are not necessarily meant to be taken literally and contain far deeper ideas and historical records. For example - Look up "What Ancient Indians Wanted To Tell Modern Indians (Astronomy, History & More)" by TRS Clips. (KZfaq Channel) It's a 15 minute clip on hidden astronomical data behind some stories mentioned in the Puranas. This is just one of the countless examples and there's much more to decode.

And never in my 17 year of life, i have never met anyone who classify himself as, Shiva worshipper or Vishnu Worshipper. Yes people and family do sometimes believe in certain gods and sages more than others. But otherwise, thier is no distinction to be made.

I believe I have not come to any spiritual books which say God gave power to shiva to destroy demons . In shiv puran his power and existence is confirmed, lord Vishnu worship him and shiv worship Vishnu in Vishnu puran or Krishna book, in Durga shaptshati lord shiv existence as Trinity is confirmed. Who put the unrealistic fact and try to confuse everyone.
