Personally, I like all 3. However, Number 2 is/was always my favorite. It was the first game that I ever bought on my own. I was a kid around 8 or 9 at the time of. I randomly saw it in a Shop, when I was out with my Father. Of course, I was only a kids so it was like Birthday/Christmas money and all that type of thing, but it still really sticks out. Since, when you're a kid and if you choose to buy something other than Candy, it's serious business. ( Lmfao!) Anyways, thanks for the upload. It is always interesting for me to see other people's views on these old games.

In Lords of the Realm 1, the first of all, you can design your own castles with absolute freedom, literally as if it were a house of the Sims. That makes the 1 a bit more attractive than 2, right?

in any army you need nobles ( 1 or 2 units ) then pikemen ( 4 or 5 ) and then cavalry or swordsmen

I think what they should’ve done was keep the core tbs resource management mechanics from the previous games and improved upon them. I think they could’ve incorporated something similar to what was being done with the early total war games where each level of castle granted access to certain buildings and improvements that gave specific bonuses or functions(but they could’ve tweaked for the LOTR series where each building required a certain amount of resources and labor rather then gold and a fixed amount of turns for construction). The vassals and reputation system(honor, chivalry and Christianity) could still serve a purpose in the game. While the reputation system could be largely unchanged, assigning a vassal to each county/region/parcel could give certain bonuses, maybe allow for certain buildings to be built and allow for delegating/automating management of the assign county(but you can choose what is delegated). What I had in mind for the vassals would be similar to how they actually functioned in the game, but toned down and could allow for the player to intervene in the management of each county

I honestly forgot this game existed from my childhood until now. Holy shit. Now i remember why I forgot it lol.

Love lord of realm II, going to try this out but i have to say it looks like they tried to hard to put way to much in the game

I just played it. it has only one function. take the castle add an army and send an army. the game consists of 3 battles and waiting for your army to gather. I played the previous parts and they brought me more pleasure than this

They took the incredible game of Lords of the Realm 2, and turned it into a terribly designed Total War knockoff.
