Lori Vallow Daybell immediately quoted the Bible when given the chance to speak before she was sentenced for the murders of her two children and husband’s late wife. “Jesus Christ knows the truth of what happened here,” Daybell said. “My children are happy and busy in the spirit world.”

This speech is full of mormon specificity. She said 'busy' in reference to the 'spirit world', heavenly parents, JJ is an adult spirit, jobs and being engaged and happy. Peace and comfort, these are all catch phrases used in mormonism. Interestingly, listening to her brought back sitting in Relief Society for decades. If this wasn't a murderer speaking to her scant followers, something like this could be heard spoken on any given Sunday in my former church. The crime followers of this case do not understand the profound influence of mormon doctrine involved.

@@shanejohnson5446 her crimes did warrant the DP however it was taken off the table in early March prior to her trial. Honestly it’s easier to sit a jury in a none DP CASE. It’s extremely hard to get a jury that all agree to impose the DP. She got everything she deserved IMO. Most DP cases the defendant sits on death row between 25 to sometimes 40 tears before they are even put to sleep. She got life sentences without parole serving 3 of them consecutive so I think all the victims families are content with the judges sentence for Lori.

I didn’t even finish her remarks. People that begin to quote biblical scripts to sound righteous or innocent are the very guilty ones. Then begins to list plausible causes for accidental deaths that claimed the lives of 4 people. One life I could have thought about it, but 4 lives are not accidental - it is premeditated. Death penalty would have been justified.
