I had to comment because I was one of those guys who found the "advanced stuff" easy, but the "simple" stuff extremely hard. I found the mashy lows, screeching highs, and crackle mids really easy. It was the roaring, volumous mids that most people default to that I found most difficult. Great takes@

On that opening: One of the most amazing things is when you hear a massive crowd of people singing and chanting along with the music they are experiencing live. It's an incredibly powerful thing to hear so many individual voices at different levels, timbres, pitches, in key, out of key, just letting it all come out. Man, that'd suck if they all sounded identical, because even robots don't sound alike. Your individual voice is unique and something you should be proud of. Although some sound ever so close, they never sound identical, it's one of those perfect imperfections of humanity that I utterly adore. (Fun fact: Robots don't actually all sound alike, even if they had the same voice, the speakers emitting the sound would all be ever so slightly different, because there is no such thing as a perfect speaker. It's a strangely endearing concept, we as perfectly imperfect creatures create machines so that they may do what we cannot perfectly, and as a result can never achieve actual perfection. That's a mouthful.)

I have no interest in ever being a singer and I'm only about a year into really discovering metal, but you've made 2+ hour long car rides listening to metal that much better. Instead of just listening, now I'm *singing* and analyzing. I'm a nerd about everything I do and I love watching someone dive as in-depth as possible into what they love, too. But he's not taking that for granted. He even said, THAT PART was a total accident and unplanned. He just did a thing he thought would sound cool. He's truly an inspiration to those who seek it. Those who see it as just a flex, or can't be as good, aren't trying.

Haha oh man, this would take me some time. Kardashev has gotten far les acrobatic over the years, much more melodic now. I'd have to know the rust off of my speed-vocals and transitions for sure.

Absolutely amazing point at the beginning, nobody should be trying to sound like someone else, the difference in the genres and vocals is what makes metal and actually all kind of music beautiful.

Maybe one day you could get a hold of Will and do a interview with him talking about vocals to get his prospective on his one takes. And you are right brother about the one takes I think it is satisfying to him to show that you can do things near his level and it is possible. And everyone's anatomy of the face structure and vocals. Keep up the amazing work Mark

Such a strong message at the beginning!!! I am new to metal vocals, always wanted to do it as I am guitarist. I struggled to begin with because I was trying to sound like someone and not embrace my own voice. Its your own unique instrument.

I love this video! Question for you: While teaching and doing this type of content do you find yourself changing your vocal style more going forward? I ask because it was great seeing you geek out while playing around with your tongue placement in the video, like when your were moving it to the side :D But it also seems like even the teacher is learning new things and I've noted that from you before and is one of the reasons I love your content. Thank you for another awesome video! I'm not a vocalist, but I have a huge appreciation for vocals.

The thing that I've noticed with Will's vocal technique is how relaxed he is when screaming and it's cool to see how calm and collected he is, and in his interview with Elizabeth from the Charismatic Voice it was cool to see how he described his vocal technique and how his inspiration came from opera singers

just started watchin your videos last night and I really dig em ! I'm a bassist mainly and do some singing/vokills, but I enjoy someone who can teach with a good dose of humor. you're very detail oriented and that's huge when it comes to any Instrument. I'd suggest checking out a live Mayhem song, when they still had Maniac with them. Basically between 97' and 2004. That being said, that voice that your wife absolutely hates, sounds like some raging uber-nerd lmao. Especially when you reacted to Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies of the great apocalypse". When you read out some of the lyrics towards the end of the video, in that voice, I totally lost it 😂. Love it, dude ! Cheers from Montreal 🤘
