Hello LOST Fans!
Welcome to "LOST On The Couch", a weekly (for now...) reaction series to the hit 2004 ABC TV show LOST. I (David) have seen the show 7ish times all the way through and my friends (Audrey, Hassan, and Zola) have never seen it before!
I have always wanted to show my friends the experience that is LOST, so I decided I'd stick a camera in their faces and see what they thought of it! I also, with their permission, want to share it with whoever might be interested in watching it again through their eyes. After all, that is the closest us Losties can ever get to watching it again for the first time. ;)
I'm actually a musician and composer, NOT a video editor, so don't expect too much fancy editing, but I very much enjoy this as a hobby.
I sincerely hope you all enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them! Reach out to me in the comments if you have any suggestions, hopes, dreams, theories, advice, whatever. But NO SPOILERS!

Yeah, I think Jack needed to bury the marshal because he probably smothered him to death after Sawyer's inept shot to the chest.

Charles Trenet's song La Mer is a solid classic. Also in English as Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin and others.

- Happy New Year! - Ooh, I like the trivia contest - Wow, Zola is good at remembering what happened - I love the interaction between Kate and Sawyer at the beginning of the episode. I don't ship them, I think they work better as friends, but I love their banter - I love that scene where Hurley and Michael just start laughing at Sawyer - Rose is awesome. She's just such an awesome person. - Sayid's face when he says "this guy?" is priceless - "There's this thing in 2020 called a mask" hahahaha - I don't really like this episode that much, but you guys are great reactors!

Technically Hassan was right because The Sawyer name was based on the Mark Twain novel and used as a fake name

"There is one epsiode in each of the first three seasons..." I guess this one, Fire+water and Stranger in a strange land? At least that would be mine. (Stranger in a strange land also feels especially bad after flashes before your eyes, clearly one of the best episode in the series)

I'm watching this super late in 2023 but something I want to point out about the Finding Nemo song.. Michael Giacchino is the composer for all of LOST and Finding Nemo! The piano you hear at the end of this episode is him playing the exact song.

Thomas Newman composed the score for Finding Nemo, but yes! That is Giacchino working his magic at the end!

Can I just say I’m so impressed by the amount of poker face you have to keep up because these three are some INTUITIVE Sherlock Holmes types obv (besides some of the few more outlandish theories). Especially when Hassan called out Locke for being paralyzed, how Audrey called out the psychics motives (and like everyone’s motives lol) and Zola seems to be the group’s memory bank. Together y’all create the ULTIMATE Lost fan 😂

Episodes 12-15 are the weakest stretch of episodes in season 1. Personally, I don't mind 'Whatever the Case May Be' that much. I think the weakest of season 1 (and perhaps of the entire show) is 'Homecoming.' I also thought, on rewatch, that 'The Moth' was one of the worst of season 1. I really liked Charlie's episodes when I watched LOST for the first time, but on rewatch I think he actually has some of the weakest episodes in the entire show, especially Fire + Water.
