The fact that they lowered a guy into a flooded boat in the middle of the night during a storm is the part that pissed me off the most.

The worst part is, that they never considered a safety harness for the guy that went on board the sinking dinghy, that they never considered a towing rope until it was too late + (Yanking the throttle to full speed with the prop half submerged can also be dangerous as props can explode if they're spinning too fast due to over revving). The incompetence and unprofessionalism is off the scale, holy shit

You never try to start a possibly flooded engine without pulling the plugs first to see if there is water in the cylinders. If there is you will bend valves. You never turn a prop when it is in two feet of water. Especially when you have a perfectly good boat to tow you out to deeper water. Why are they hiring people who's only experience with water is taking a bath?

But they do not have prop guards on their boats that would have ended up in a lot better shape if they had them on Although it would have been much better if he didn't put the motor down into the rocks and drive it I don't understand why they didn't tie a rope to it and pull it out with the other boat and I don't want to hear the rope was not long enough they should not have left the ship without whatever they might need to retrieve that boat they knew where it was before they left to go get it I can't believe that they're operating like they are especially because of where they are at They need to be overly prepared for anything and everything There are a lot of lives that count on it

I don't understand also why didn't they have a whole other lower unit with the prop ready to go over half your problems on an outboard motor are because of something in the lower unit. Guys are going out there way under prepared Ultimately it was their unpreparedness that caused everything that happened. It all goes back to the captain it is his ship it is his fault.

I don't understand why they get so much hate, they're actually doing something really cool and I also don't understand why people think that the sea shepherds are pirates and what they do is illegal, because it's not true, and the crew aren't incompetent idiots, most of them were in the marines or the navy and the medical officers are doctors.

Whaling is illegal then you need to start going heavily-armed so that when they decide to flood your boat or resist stopping wailing you can convince them that it's for their best to take the boat back to port or to park it on the bottom of the ocean
