I am a regular viewer of the Y-T channel "The Hoof GP" and I can tell you that active trimmers don't keep their knives in such poor condition. Loved watching you do this one and great job!!!

When Imworked on fishing yachts, I used a hoof knife for popping hooks out of the marlin and sailfish bills, and thr one I had also had holes in the side which was perfect for holding hooks temporarily and then the pop out blade in the back was great for cutting line amd the forward hook could pop leader wire from the hook eye

That knife came out of service years ago and will never trim another horse or cow again. Or even a sheep. As graceparker says no hoof trimmer would treat a functioning knife that way.

Having grown up working with sheep I can tell you that there is no fouler smell on God's green earth then what comes from inside ovine hooves when they are trimmed!

Worn out hoof knives are extremely dangerous! Watch the Hoof GP and see one break and a piece of it lodge itself in his protective face mask. Don't use it.
