Really looking forward to the in-depth class guides. As a new player, I do wish there were more up-to-date class guides geared toward total noobs, especially for the more difficult classes in the game. My main character is a Hunter and I'm having a lot of fun with that class, but I'm also really drawn to Warden. However, as you note in the video, Warden is a very difficult class to learn and get accustomed too, and unfortunately most of the guides I find kind of gloss over a lot of information and seem to be more aimed at intermediate to advanced players. I know Louey7 has some good stuff out there, but as far as I'm concerned the more in-depth guides available the better. I'll have to check out your Guardian video for sure.

Thanks so much! I will keep putting put more in-depth guides. I am a long time player but I don't have ever class max level still. I have played all of them though, so my goal is to go over everything on them and walk you through as simple as I can with out skipping over things that might be hard for a new player to follow.

Nothing is locked behind VIP. Everything is tied to expansions. High Elf and Stout Axes were tied to Mordor expansion. Like Beornings, I think High Elves are open to everyone now. Stout Axes still need to be unlocked for nonVIP players. I think this can be done directly or will be unlocked with purchase of Mordor expansion. Like you said, Brawlers need to be unlocked by purchasing Fate of Gundabad expansion.

Well this helped. Narrowed it down between Stout-Axe Hunter or Stout-Axe Guardian….dwarves are best, their shouts rock but champion I remember when I played back when the game launched would get boring quick no matter how much I wanted to like them. So, Guardian seems dope and so does hunter.

I occasionally run into people playing Beornings who do not realize they can equip a bow. Admittedly, they have no bow skills, but they can auto-attack from long range with a bow while waiting for bees to cooldown. Plus, you benefit from the bow's stats.

The game definitely looks much better in actual play today than it does in those little game engine videos created 12 years ago! New accounts have access to every race except Stout Axe and every class except Brawler. Both can be purchased with LOTRO Points or included as part of a purchased expansion or other deal (for example, Stout Axe is included with the $10 LOTRO Starter Bundle). Players who logged in with an account during the recent anniversary event have Stout Axe because that is part of the Mordor expansion which every account received at the Collector’s Edition level for free just for logging in during the event. Races have a lot of other bonuses that aren’t shown on the character creation screen. For example, vanilla Elves can get +5% to bow damage (after earning it by completing a simple deed). As you pointed out, most of the racial bonuses and penalties shown on the character creation screen are nearly meaningless by the time the character gets to Level 20 and completely lost in the stat bloat by Level 50. But the earnable racial traits not shown on the character creation screen can be significant. Warden isn’t terribly hard other than the need to become familiar with all the Gambits. There are mods which can help with remembering how to build each Gambit, with that information on the HUD it’s much less stressful to play. I use WardenEase, I’m not going to dedicate that many of my brain cells to memorizing formulas for a video game! And of course the game starts you off with only a few Gambits and adds one or two every other level or so, allowing you to get used to them without getting overwhelmed with needing to memorize 30 formulas all at once. It is probably a good idea to stick to Warden rather than bouncing around among alts if you’re going to play a Warden at all though, I guess, at least until some of the Gambits stick in your head well enough to get you through routine battles without needing to consult a reference.

Maybe playing a Warden in a group would be hard since you would have to improvise but you can get by playing solo with just AOE dots, single target dots and an occasional self heal so just 3 lines of gambits. I think I've forgotten most of the others.

I am pretty new. Just dropped wow cuz its been a suffer for a while, and Ashes of Creation will release later. However, now I love LOTRO, but it is kinda different in matter of classes. I have always been a Rouge style player, but here i didn't enjoyed burglar too much, kinda slow for me. So I watched videos and Captain, Champion and Minstrel looked most interesting for me. Champion cuz same old fast paced Rouge like playstyle, and the other two because its felt unique. But I can't really understand what does "Supportive-dps" means. So they can do damage but nos as high as Original Damage Dealers, or simply they have special utilities that made them more useful for a party?

Captains can still do great damage. They just have alot of buff focus. For themselves as well.
