1, maybe explain how we can progress with the gear as new players up to max lvl like u did with the maps 2. maybe other explanations about other aspects of the game or changes of the deeds and other things. idk..like do we have the max wallet or we still need to buy to unlock the unlimited version..u know.. stuff like this will help more to know than the lvl progress guide u did 3. maybe explain to new players the servers.. like it does matter or not what servers we join. 4.some extra explanation about the lvling process like we can progress with the lvling solo or we will reach a point where we will be stuck doing something important for a main quest as doing a party dungeon or a large party dungeon or quest. u know.. small stuff but essential

Thanks for the streamlined guide and also for the energy, I think your videos are always fun and informative which is my fave combo. I'm curious if you have ever used missions or instances to level, and if not what their uses would be for non-level cap people. I would also be curious for a video where you explain your thought process or strategies regarding deeds. Even though I'm VIP, I still like trying to complete as many deeds as possible to try and get nice quality of life LP items for all my alts, plus theres so many different kinds of deeds that I feel like they're almost an overlooked way to explore middle earth. Anyways thanks again for the vid!

If you are a completionist like me (just reached lvl 100 after 10 years playing the game) then I would recommend joining a kinship that is lvl capped where they do group content for lower level quests. That or you can join the server Treebeard where xp progression is slowed and lvl capped.

what do u mean they changed?
@XeoMacNasty

@@ilithielxd2356 specific deeds used to give specific virtues. There was no such thing as "virtue XP", so the 75 quests in the Shire deed didn't just give +4000 virtue XP to any virtue you picked, it gave +2 Innocence. And Innocence was a necessary virtue, so it was best to start every character by doing 75 quests in the Shire.

@@XeoMacNasty oh ok so u say that they removed the +2 innocence? what im interested is if they removed the deeds or nerfed them .. that what i was worried because i think the deeds are important for lvling like a side job beside basic/story questing also the rewards like the LP or other rewards they give are making the deeds worth doing..atleast for me are fun so i was worried they removed them,nerfed or changed in other negative ways that could ruin the experience of doing them

@@ilithielxd2356 no, nothing was removed they just changed to an XP system where you can apply each deed to whatever virtue you want whereas you used to have to do specific deeds for specific virtues.

Good video! Would like to see another one of these updated for 2023 and maybe a splash of info on the deadly system for the legendary servers. Also, ideally you would point out where the instances are and what level is best to go for them, like 5 levels below for a decent challenge or on level - ideally a taste of the difficulty as the game has apparently gotten much easier over time.

Evendim, more like Ever Swim.. well or used to be hehe. There's so many ways you can go and there's a plethora of quests that will turn grey, I want to say there's almost half the quests that you don't need to do when they turn grey and you get no experience. But really, I love to clear as much as possible.

@voiceoftherings I ran the transcript of your video through Claude AI and asked it to give me a guide to leveling in LOTRO. Here's what I got - what do you think? Here is a guide to leveling in LOTRO based on the transcript: Leveling Path: 1. Start in Eriador, either in Archet or Thorin's Hall. Follow the chapter and prologue quests as they will guide you to the next area. 2. Quest through Breelands, either starting in Bree or Buckland. Follow the chapter quests as they progress the story. 3. Move on to Lone-lands and Trollshaws. Bounce between these areas as needed based on your level. 4. Progress to Evendim (lower half) then Misty Mountains and Angmar. Follow the chapter quests to keep leveling up. 5. Reach level 50 and start the Moria chapter in Eregion. Quest through Moria from level 50 - 60. Follow the chapter quests as they guide you through different areas. 6. Move on to Rhovanion, either Southern Mirkwood or East/West Rohan from level 60 - 95. 7. Reach level 95 and start Western/Central/Eastern Gondor chapter. Then move to North Gondor and Mordor. 8. Continue questing through Northern Rhovanion, then Morgul Vale, then North Rhovanion. 9. Reach Erebor and quest through the Iron Hills, then Erined Mithrin up to level 140. Key Tips: • Follow the chapter and prologue quests as they guide you between areas and level you up. • Use the color indication on quests - white is your level, blue is lower, orange is higher. • Visit stables in each area to unlock fast travel. • Refer to leveling guides on the wiki for more details on specific zones.

I asked it to go deeper: Here is an expanded guide to leveling in LOTRO: Eriador: • Start in Thorin's Hall or Archet at level 1-6. • Focus on the chapter quests to guide you. They will send you to places like Noglond, Combe, and Esteldin. • Quest through areas like Noglond (level 9), Combe (level 10), Gandor (level 11), and Esteldin (level 15). • Travel to Breeland when chapter quest sends you there, around level 15-20. Breeland: •Talk to Butterbur in Buckland around level 15-20. • Complete chapter quests that send you to places like Osgoru's Camp, Old Forest, Barrow Downs, and Bree. • Reach level 20-25 and move on to Lone-lands. Lone-lands and Trollshaws: • Focus on Fornost (level 25) and Weathertop (level 30) • Bounce between Fornost and Trestlebridge (level 25) as needed based on your level. • Move on to Esteldin (level 31-35) when chapter quest sends you there. • Progress to Trollshaws (level 35-40) and Rivendell (level 40). Moria: • Start the Moria chapter quest in Eregion at level 50. • Quest through areas like Caras Galadhon (level 50-55), 21st Hall (level 55-60), Redhorn Lode (level 60-65), and Dimrill Dale (level 65-70). • Follow the chapter quests as they guide you through different areas up to level 60. Rhovanion and Gondor: • Move to Southern Mirkwood (level 65), East Rohan (level 65-75), and West Rohan (level 75-95). • Start Gondor chapters in Western Gondor at level 95, then move to Central and Eastern Gondor, Minas Tirith and North Gondor. • Reach level 100+ and quest in Mordor, then Northern Rhovanion. Erebor and Beyond: • Reach Erebor around level 115-120 and quest through the Iron Hills. • Move to Erined Mithrin up to level 130-135 and complete chapters there. • Continue to Gundabad for levels 130 - 140, completing chapters and traveling through the valley.

KZfaq just ate my comment twice. The first time I assumed it was because I included a link. The second time I left out the URL and it still ate my comment. It was - per my usual - long-winded but in essence: “With all the new players it was good to revisit this topic. Great job, fun to watch! But I had trouble seeing your mouse cursor, if you do something like this again where you are using the mouse cursor to point at things on the full screen main map, try the mod Mouse Finder - it just makes the mouse cursor easier to see.”

I'm boggled that there are several whole zones one could simply skip while leveling. I'm interested in exploring the story and world, not rushing to max level. That said, I don't want to waste a lot of time on mundane grind quests. Maybe I should simply take some time to explore the outlier zones independant of questing? I don't want to miss lore that might be in quests, I really don't know if the game keeps all the good stuff to the Books or there are stories to be found in less dramatic avenues?

My question to you is how to truly effectively use the XP scrolls? :o If you for instance want to gain an advantage in lvl's for the epic quests, is there a way to efficiently use the XP scrolls for that?
@VoiceoftheRings
@VoiceoftheRings 2 жыл бұрын
It's hard. Because they are timers. So the best way is to get a bunch of quests done before then turn them on. Don't forget you get rested xp (the blue bar at bottom) and you can get extra using your destiny points in your wallet. I have a guide to show you those on wallet guide video. They stack, they will also stack with the xp scroll items that are timed. I could make a video about xp?

@@VoiceoftheRings Yep precisely! A video on XP would be really nice.. I saw one guide talking about task-delivery farming with the XP scrolls, I have no idea how that would work in practice but yeah.. I just see very little use for XP scrolls as of now tbh, despite having even bought a few, I came to the realisation that yeah.. you gotta fill your log basically otherwise the time will just not be in your favour :/

So I'm level 54 on my high elf Champion now. Thanks to 2 years of events and every side quest for story. And I just wrapped up the North Downs and Lonelands where I could basically one shot everything lol. I have to go back to the Lonelands and finish the group area quests. No one really answers my questiond in zone chat they just say to follow the epic. But Lake Evendim for example is about the same level as the east side of North Downs, and the Wildwoods I ran before I finished North Downs because it felt like it fit around the same time period. So for the side areas with the same level range, when do you do those? I found an area just south of the trollshaws, I'm wondering if that one fits in the same timeline before Volume 4 in Rivendell? I'm a completionist who wants to do every side quest in every zone in chronilogical order as much as possible. Also in Ered Luin I did every deed possible (even slayer), before I went to Bree. Thanks this a good intro. Anything more than just being told to follow the epic questline and forget the rest, always helps lol.
@VoiceoftheRings
@VoiceoftheRings Жыл бұрын
They have Made it so that you can pick and choose where to level up. So, with that in mind, Yes following the Epic is good when you want to find the next thing to do. But as u say, If you want to do Everything! There are two things you could do, One I believe there is an Item to buy in the LOTRO store that stops you from gaining XP ( If you want to be on level for the same level areas) For example Misty Mountains and Forachel. Next, Check out this Link to LOTRO WIKI lotro-wiki.com/index.php/zones_by_level You can use this to know what areas you need to do Next to be a Complitionnest. Again, It's how you want to play the game. You don't need that XP stopper But I thought I add that. you can always do all the quests just over-leveled. Hope this Answer Helps you out. I may do an Updated video about this if you can pinpoint what you really need to know. Be good for others too!
@VampguyN85

@@VoiceoftheRings thanks. I just got a little confused the other night in Rivendell. I think it kinda can jump from Elrond if you aren't careful. I'm just trying to double check I tied off book 3 before I pick up or start book 4 I believe. Also I kinda messed up and didn't realize the Epic sends you back to the Trollshaws after you go through Angmar, so I cleared all the side quests in Tal Bruiinen. already not realize I would actually get there farther down the road. I used my brain logic from playing other mmo's which doesn't work for lotro lol. I'm rewatching your video a few times as I go to refresh. And I started a new man captain and this time am using my first stone of the tortoise to try and follow it more dilligently. I agree I did the Lonelands before the North Downs, but I couldn't finish soloing the fellowship area and stuff such as the red maid yet, so I put those on hold until I broke past 50, and went to the North Downs. And than double backed and solo'd the last of that area I had not completed. I did a lot of it at least before moving to the North Downs. I ended up level 35 by the eastern side of the LL before going to the North Downs. Partially because of festivals and all the side quests in Bree after Ered Luin plus grinding deeds for free lotro points lol. And deeds for racials. First time I weirdly went from South and North Trollshaws to the Angle, finished the Angle, and headed to Tal Bruinen from there. So I Was out of order. Also for New peeps, you'll pickup a few quests on the road in the Trollshaws randomly as you ride, and the High Moors has a small camp with a few quests directly on the road to Rivendell. I am doing all the fellowship and dailly kill quests once through before I move zones as I go too. I did Giant Valley before heading to Rivendell even. But I hit level 60 by the time I got to Giant Valley lol. Thank you Harvest Math, Midsummer, Spring and Anniversary for all the bonus xp. Idk why it got murky for me at the Trollshaws. It was easy to follow earlier through Ered Luin and onto the LL really. I got a chunk of the shire done for quests before I realized I Was overdoing it on my high elf and left those for my hobbit. Each race is doing their own starting areas for the prologue now lol

If your enjoying just leveling, No don't worry about it at this time. If you pick up "rep items" keep them or use them don't sell. But you can always go back and farm it later through rep items or deeds. As you do quests and find locations you will get Rep for the area anyway. But you can always come back later at a higher level to finish stuff. Check out my video on Deeds and/or Reputation if you need more. Good question.
