I'm not overly interested in the warden, but I wanted to say thanks in general for all the lotro videos you continue to make. I appreciate your perspective and thoughts on all aspects of the game.

As a note, I removed a brief section on class deeds because of the upcoming class trait point acquisition changes. You may occassionally hear me mention that the number of trait points you have may vary depending on progress other than level, but that will no longer be the case starting with Update 34 on November 8th -- *now 15th*!

I like tis video, but what I am still looking for is guide about good gambits and how to build them up, like what order and in what situation.

I remember when I played Warden, I enjoyed it because of the complexity not just randomly pressing different abilities, not many games put spear in as a weapon choice

I had a break for 1,5 years now and was playing my warden through mattugard and it was a pain. I better had watched this video before i did that. Will try this this evening on my warden. :D I have to note, that i still using my OLD legendary weapon...maybe that also could be a major damage loss. But i'm 138 now and i guess building a new LI only makes sense with 140.

Most of the information I had already pieced together from other videos or memory (I am a returning player) but it is very helpful to have all the info in one place for quick reference. Of course I learned some new stuff, too! I also really like the gameplay sections, especially for warden, because it can sometimes be hard to understand how skills work in sequence otherwise. This is one area where your streams have helped me a lot lately.

If I may, I would recommend hunter for the next one since is one of the most popular classes and Im personally curious on what you recommend to spec after finishing redline for a dps build. I pretty much only use the melee skills/gambits. So far, no need to try ranged, but it's nice to have the option. The best class for me; high damage + high survivability + teleport skills + melee and ranged + AOE burst with Desolation. The key word for playing warden is "keybindings". Putting the right skills were you will learn to use them.

Great video! Maybe an idea for another video might be like explaining the normal rotation for endgame group content. Like what gambits you should prioritize for tanking and what you should prioritize for dealing damage and so on.

Great guide, the timestamps are so important and are on point too. I didn't watch the whole video so I might have missed it but one really important thing to me is how the class and each spec play out in group content. Leveling isn't exactly hard anyway in lotro so group content is where specs become really important in terms of a choice you have to make (not talking about tiers as it's subject to change any time). I'd have liked to see maybe a few minutes dedicated to group content as a warden, especially concerning lag issues or rotations you have to learn to be relevant as a damage dealer. On a more personal note I leveled my warden to 95ish and loved it but I feel like I'm not skilled enough to use every aspect of the class in group content and that's really pushing me back from playing it again. What advice would you give me in that scenario ? Anyway great vid, keep up the good work Louey.

i love how i can beat up lvl 30 elite masters as a warden just by spamming the healing gambits , almost a battle of attrition

imo Warden is much easier at higher levels, especially 85+. All you need for solo content is to be in Assailment Stance then Battle Preparation (1 click) > Ranged Resounding Challenge (2 clicks) > Ranged Unerring Strike (3 clicks) for solo mob OR Surety of Death (3 clicks) for a group. If you plan to pull all camp then Battle Prep (1click) > Desolation (spam 1 button three times) > Surety of Death (3 clicks) > Ranged Resounding Challenge (2 clicks). Kite and repeat. Master these major nukes and you will be golden!

Thanks for the guide... re the yellow line, could you explain why you would not switch to "in the fray" once you have pulled so many mobs? I thought in assailment you would get progressively worse ranged damage due to the "harried" condition?

So good! Thank you for putting this together. I've been a huge fan of the Warden ever since it came out, and it's only one of 2 classes (the other being my beloved RK) that I've kept at level cap. Just coming back to the game after a few years and this guide has been a huge help! I never realized how viable the yellow tree was for leveling and just DPS in general. Will you be doing something similar after the Warden changes in U35 when they get rid of the yellow tree?

Hey, i just used a valar to get a warden to 105 to play with a friend, but i don't know what gambits are useful and which are not that good to wait for. I usually just play with him, and he is a lore master, so I'm usually a blue line for group and yellow for normal quests.

I'm legitimately considering warden because my piano skills are poor and I have trouble with too many hotkeys. Is this bad thinking? I'm not worried about remembering combos, just fumbling them up once in awhile. The 1 - 4 base seems nice at low levels at least.

I started playing a blue guardian recently. I would like to see if we differ at all in the way we build one.

Im brand new to Lotro and loved your guides (must have watched at least 10 by now), but doesnt the "Ranged Damage" trait increase your gambit builders, spenders and auto attacks by 25%? That plus Bulls-eye and the fact that I start from ranged seems to let me do noticeably more damage in the open world from lvl 5 and on. Is there a mechanic Im unaware of that makes the red line better? (Thank you again for the amazing guides!)

I found out pretty early that all traits and things related to Gambit Builders are useless. Once you unlock masteries you will hardly ever use Gambit Builders. So yeah Spear 10% buff from Red Trait tree is way more important than any Gambit Builder buff.

Can the warden use any melee weapon, or does it have to be a spear?

Shattered javelins is still insanely good and worth picking up. RNG doesnt really matter since it pretty consistent on large groups of mobs, wich is when it should be used. So you dont lose barbed javelin bleeds or not lose them as often on ST or low amount of targets fights. DPS it can still pull is greater than champs aoe in certain situations. Most important thing to pick up for it is +aoe targets tracery(wich should be used by default). Now this mainly apply for higher levels like 100+ mayabe 80+. I cant say for sure since 100+ is only when I used it. You can pretty much pull infinite amount of mobs with RRC and wipe everything out with single Resolution with shattered javelins on landscape. Not to mention how good it is for solo clearing weekly instances at cap. Things like doing DoP 1st boss solo on t3/4/5(even if most classes can solo it noone can pull all trash at start and solo clear it like ward), farming first 3 bosses in throne for LI xp or to stack it up, clearing missions faster than champ because it. Not picking up shatterd javelins as soon as its possible is big mistake for solo(with aoe target count). Should enjoy it and have fun with it while its still possible.
