It sounds great! like a nice muscle car low tone should and not too loud, you dont want the cops hearing you when you get down on it. I liked your zip tie cut guide too. Very smart idea and I will use your measuring guide as well. Great video. Im going to have to start mine up unhooked for a min too but may piss off my neighbors. Im doing mine tomorrow with a friend to help hold and pull the exhaust out. I think it will really help with better flow out as I did the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 last week. Love it! Highly recommend that Shelby GT 350 bigger intake and throttle body kit with the new ford tune too. You can really feel the extra TQ. I think I could do it myself but who wants to kill themselves or get hit in the head by a muffler or res. I recommend spraying some PB Blaster on the front bolts and clamp a day or two before you do the job impact or not.

I have the same car as you a 2015 Ruby Red Mustang GT Premium Performance Package but mine has 2 tone cream and black seats. I also removed the resonator and put in an x pipe with a factory exhaust with quad tips from a 2018 that I bought on craigslist for $50. The 2018's mufflers are tuned so much better and sound great without a resonator on these cars.

I did this to mine originally. It ended up too tinny for me. I've tried numerous exhausts and now, after hearing other Mustangs, I've settled for putting the resonator back on and deleting the mufflers. Much deeper tone.

You don't have to drop the axle back if you have a Reciprocating Saw. Makes it so much easier, then all you do is take off the front clamps and drop the resonator.

Yeah I did the muffler delete and with SR x pipe it is insane! Sounds good though with factory mufflers good job on install!

Were the older cars more muffled? I just picked up a 2022 GT Performance Package with the electronic exhaust valve, and in Sport+ or Track mode, it sounds like a full exhaust. I am sure I could make it louder, but it's already bordering on obnoxious with Track mode and the valve opened all the way. Not sure I want to make it raspy and too loud... Thoughts? Are the new ones louder?

The resonator isn't very good at transferring heat. I noticed with the stock exhaust system on my '17 GT that the center dashboard walls got incredibly hot and would burn your legs if you rested your legs against there for too long. Installed a Borla ATAK catback with xpipe and the heat that got stuck in the center dashboard walls, was virtually all gone.

I ordered this h pipe from Cj pony parts and I’m struggling to install it back it seems that the muffler pipe wouldn’t fit into the h pipe, do you have any tips or did I get the wrong item?

No check engine light or tune required?

Stock headers and cats still?
