@@rbloobloo16 I don't wanna be rude, but people have been doing weed even when this song came out, my friend. Some of those things are incomparable to another. This song really brings me to sobs because my grandmother would always sing this to me. She sadly passed peacefully due to memory loss and I just remember asking her, “Nana, do you remember this song?” She responded with, “I don’t think I have ever heard this in my life?”. Thank you, Louis for letting me remember my grandmother in such a good way. 💕

A reply to some of you. If you are so bitter and resentful, why did you come to this video anyway? You might have become a cynic because bad things have happened to you, but guess what, bad things have happened to me too, but for me it's still a beautiful world, and our civilization is a damn miracle, how absurd is it that in this crazy 'surviving of the fittest' world, we managed to create cities, railroads, smartphones, hospitals, internet, satellites, electricity, cars, etc? It's a cliché, but you're not grateful for those things because you haven't lost them.

This song makes me cry so bad. To me, this song is from a point of view of an elder person. This person is just looking and appreciating every single little thing. This person knows that their years on earth are counted and this person is happy with that, at that’s why they are enjoying every aspect of life. This song is just too beautiful. ❤

Stop with these words, you don't even know who he was outside of the cameras. Have you lived with him, were his best friend? To recognize his skills in the trumpet, ok, it´s totally fine! But, idolizing a person that only exists in your mind, thinking he had a beautiful heart only by watching him inside the screen of the tv/smartphone? That's a terrible way to admire someone.

"I hear babies cry, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know" This is so profound. My grandfather hitching a plow to his horse to go till his field would never know while holding me as a baby that 60 years later I can stream live videos instantly from another continent on a device I can hold in my hand. The baby that I hold will do things in 60 years that I can't even conceive of today.

Luis Armstrong came from an era deeply entrenched in racism and pure hatred. Non whites were made to sit in the vaccine of the bus, had different water fountains to drink from and even had their blood designated differently. Mr. Armstrong saw and sang of a future we all should strive for.

They're really saying, "I love you" [Verse 3] I hear babies cry, I watch them grow They'll learn much more Than I'll ever know And I think to myself What a wonderful world Yes, I think to myself What a wonderful world

this song genuinely makes me cry, not out of sadness, not out of happiness either it makes me remember how much i've experienced in my life, how much i've grown and how much i've lost, i feel regret for things i had done wrong but i feel good that i have helped people with their struggles even though everything i've done will never matter to the world in the end, i am truly at peace when i listen to this it makes me think my life over, every year, every minute of everything i love this song. i want to listen to this in my final moments, i want to feel like a warm blanket is being put over me

Little background info about this song : Contrary to widespread believe this song was not composed by Louis Armstrong himself, but written and composed by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss, always with Armstrong in mind as the possible interpreter. However Louis Armstrong made the song surely his own by his unique style of interpretation.

Hello Jenn, I read your comment and I want to tell you that I'm so sorry that you lost your father. You can be sure, he is now safe in God's memory. Do you know God promises a time, when you will be able to see him again here on earth. Revelations 21:3-5 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Jesus the Son of God put it this way:.."John 5:28 ...you shouldn't be surprised, because the time will come when all, who are in the graves will hear Gods voice and will come out. He means that there will be a time on earth when everyone who has lost someone, will be able to hold them in the arms again and welcome them to the new world, a life on earth in peace without sicknesses, disease and misfortune! The future look's much better than most of the people expect, because God loves us and what he promises will not fail, actually god is telling us... have faith in me I'll make everything up to you. Jennifer If you are interested I send you an very interesting interactive textbook with the theme: Enjoy Life forever/Your loved ones can live again" www.jw.org/en/library/books/enjoy-life-forever/section-2/lesson-30/ This book is based on the bible and is about what God will do in the very near future, and how it can give you hope for the future. I wish you all the best for your future and send you my best greetings Michel

My story with this song probably isn't as deep as everyone else's but every time I listen to this song it gives me chills and touches my heart. A few months ago I went on my 8th grade class trip and we went to Universal Studios for the day. I was in a group of all my best friends and my favorite teacher of all time (my band director) was our chaperone. I remember this song playing everywhere we walked, and it just fit my mood perfectly, seeing everybody having the time of their life. All of us including my teacher went on every single ride, we ate all the food we could've possibly ate, I even fell in love that day with one of my friends who is now my girlfriend, and it was truly the best day of my life. I have so many memories just from this one day. Just one day with zero stress, zero worries, no homework, no sadness, just pure care-free fun with my friends. Lately my life hasn't been like that at all lately. I recently started high school and its stressful asf, my home life is really stressful and irritating, my motivation for anything is gone, and I'm struggling to find happiness more often. Every time I hear this song, it brings me back to that day, and I miss it so much. I miss that time where everything made sense and everything wasn't a mess.

Hopefully things are going better these days, internet stranger. The stressful times give depth and weight to the good times. As someone very close to me pointed out, "if everything were perfect, we probably wouldn't realize it." The sucky times are what make the good times that you've experienced so good. Don't get burned out, balance the stress with time doing what you love.

@@ryanhass8716 I actually forgot I commented this, but reading this again made me realize just how much I turned my life around in the last 6 months. That girlfriend I had completely ruined my mental health and I ended up cutting that off and a couple weeks later she got with some other guy, so since that very day I've gone to the gym every day and started taking care of myself more as well as deleting social media and quitting porn, and picking up better habits like reading and just trying to be a better person in general. And you are correct, the bad times definitely do pass and I find myself very happy and motivated to get stuff done all the time now and am a lot less stressed out. Thank you for your concern and wisdom internet stranger, have a great day

You are amazing and have so much ahead of you! Life feels so intense when you’re in high school. And then the world just keeps opening up more and more and more and you realize how much things work out. You’ll have many more wonderful perfect days ahead of you - trust me :)

It's all relative, friend. I look back at days in the past when, if I'm honest with myself, I had stress and worries just like most days, but I now look at those days as so wonderful and care-free, because my kids were toddlers and so sweet (they are teens now and know it all) and life in many ways was simpler, but I'm sure some day when I'm seventy I'll look back at this day and pine for the days when I was "young" and my health was so much better and my boys were still living with me. Look for the joys in today, and don't waste your life pining for yesterday, friend. And most importantly trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and receive eternal life and true joy and happiness with Christ, now and forevermore! John 3:16

Our world is very cruel. Somewhere children are being killed and raped, somewhere there is famine. But most importantly, we must remember the bright side of this world. The same thing is sung in Louis Armstrong's song what a fonderfull world. May his soul be blessed by all the inhabitants of the Earth. I'm Russian and I love this song very much, I really can't live without it, it's always with me. Even when it’s raining outside and my soul is sad, I turn on a song and get a surge of vitally joyful energy.

This song brings me to tears everytime I hear it. Because even with all the evil and terrible things in the world when we stop to admire the little things in life it really makes you stop and realize the beauty amongst the tragedy and even through the sadness and turmoil this world really isn't such a bad place and maybe we are looking in the wrong places for beauty and happiness. We spend all our days looking down at our lives or what's wrong with them and forget to look up and see the little things that make this life worth living and the beauty in each other. Thank you Louis for this small reminder that even in suffering or pain the world really is a beautiful place.... 🙏😔❤

I forgot how "wonderful," this song was, until I was at my good friend and coworker's celebration of life a couple days ago. He wanted everyone in attendance to all sing it together. He was a Navy Veteran, an EMT, and also worked for our local Sheriff's Department. The live's he touched along the way were countless. He even donated every organ in his body, and in that final act of selflessness, helped another 50 people. I am lucky to have known him and honored to have worked with him. RIP my brother.
