Louis CK wasn't pretending to be stranger, he just assumed Jim knew that it was the CK. That's why he was casually speaking to him in a friendly, teasing way. When Jim was like "you're rambling, sir" Louis was like "Dude it's me!"

There's so much truth to what they're saying. I'm approaching my late 20's now and life is WAY better than my high school years. I'm actually looking forward to my 30's because like Jim said I feel like there are a lot of things I want to accomplish that I couldn't have possibly accomplished in my 20's.

It was my first time in Stockholm, I loved every minute of it. It's not a city, it's an inspiration. It went perfect, man. The place was great, he totaly nailed it. Encore and everything. It's really a pitty you didn't make it. I had two spare tickets, two of our friends coudln't come.

Yeah the show is at the o2 Arena on the 20th of march, the Guardian wrote about it a few days ago. There's no more information yet, I've been checking the o2s website every day since I found out waiting for it to get added to the calender.

Wow, did anyone else think that Jimmy knew it was Louis from the beginning and Jimmy was just fucking around with him and then the bomb was he didn't even realize? That was kinda weird. Louis had to tell him "I'm your friend, I'm Louis, I'm your friend, do you not recognize me?"

im an idiot for not going, should've quit the job that very night :( good thing he delivered, i was a bit worried for him since the swedish crowd can be quite "dry". btw, was the arena too big for a comedy stand-up or did it work well? its usually for bigger concerts and hockey-events..

I actually agree with this. They're both great, but ants better at keeping momentum and jimmy really shines best on 3rd mic where he's able to gather his thoughts and interject with funny comments. Not saying jimmy's a bad host, ant's just a bit more adept at it.

Incontrovertible proof that some of the most highly regarded guests are no less of a drag on a radio show than the bad callers, and that if not for prejudice in their favor, they would be treated the same as such callers.

***** I don't see what that has to do with what I was saying. My point was that if Louis C.K. were just a caller, and not a friend of Jim Norton's and a "celebrity", he would've been ridiculed and hung up on because of his being a bad caller.

Uumm.. They ARE good friends. Stop with the stupid jargon of "Louis' so great and if Jimmy only knew..." They are buddies regardless of fame. Louis was banking on him recognizing his voice. Nothing else. Jimmy was caught up in a show, and has every right to be, and did not recognize his friends voice in the hooplah. Whoops. But it is that Louis loves his friend enough to call into Jimmy's show. Neither took it personally. They just talked together as friends do. Maybe try to get a REAL friend.

I ALWAYS give more respect to my friends than I do a stranger. Why? Because they've put the time in. I cherish my friends. They stick with me through the bad and give love in the good. We're all the same. A stranger is our going out of our way to try to make a better day. A true friend is there through our gruesome and our triumphs and keeps rooting for us. Which do you prefer? Who has your back?

A true friend has earned your "attention/ respect" where as a stranger is a stranger who has not proved they are worthy of your respect or attention. You don't KNOW them. C'mon, this is pretty every day shit. We do this instinctively. It's not rocket science. We BUILD relationships unless you're a moron and just jump into friendships thinking everyone is rooting for you...Then you can actually say you WERE born yesterday.

Idk man... I loved "Horace and Pete" very much. "Louie" and "Lucky Louie" was decent too. I would rather have the good quality shows with the aloof auteur than "the real guy" who doesn't create shit. Patrice was the realest of the real, but he only made 1 special, and no other art whatsoever before he died. Give and take. Can't have it all.

He made like 3, one or two were I believe half hour and then there was Elephant in the Room which was my favorite. But still. I just wish he'd been alive longer to make more. He was getting better and better imho.

It's so weird to listen to them talk now. They used to have a great friendly chemistry in the studio talking about random topics, and now it just seems kinda awkwardly formal and polite.

Chill, man. I don't think they were just talking about fucking chicks. It's more about people's outlook on life and the trajectory of success. Also, neither of them sounded butthurt to me, at least not nearly as much as you do.
