You have a special talent Louise. Not only as an artist but also great teaching ability. I've been soaking up your techniques and tips for about 6 weeks. Today I tried painting 3 leaves using triadic colours following one of your videos from a few years ago. I am quite pleased with the result. Thank you for showing us step by step how to paint. But especially for giving reasons for why you chose to use certain techniques. It's one thing to learn by copying an accomplished artist, but it's even better when you impart understanding to the process. That's what makes your videos so helpful.

My first attempt at watercolor was botanical and I gave up because they were terrible. Louise, thank you for sharing your gift with us and helping us to hopefully achieve something even a tiny bit as lovely as your work. I switched to watercolour after l fractured my shoulder and found my oil painting demanded too much pressure on my arm, l also developed a tremor (now gone), and watercolour gave me a freedom to just experiment and take away the fear I’d never paint again. And l found my medium! You’re helping me to become the artist I really want to be. Thank you so much❤️

Great, I thought it was just me, I feel as if my brain gets tired painting Watercolor, glad to know I’m not imagining the fatigue. I find if I take breaks it gives me a fresh look at the work too.
