I am from southeast Louisiana I'm 81 years young and never been deep-sea fishing I'v done everything else all my life hunt ,fish etc. I grew up in place called Delacroix Island my dad was a com. fishermen I became a truck driver . What can I say! lol. There is a unique history in this area most people think that everyone here are Cajuns but we are Canary Island descendants from Spain and we spoke Spanish at home long story. lots of history.

i have watched hundreds, if not thousands of deermeat for dinners over the years, and thouroughly enjoyed them all. If it were up to me, i would love to do a hog hunt, lobster hunt and mutton snapper fishing with Robert, as those are my 3 favorite videos he makes. And if it were in the Bahamas, with Bernard, that would be a huge bonus,lol

I was surprised that you blanked out on the crawdads since I don't remember any video where you came back empty handed, but at least you learned where NOT to catch crawdads!! It is such a pleasure watching your videos. And I still liked watching you cook them and make the hush-puppies. In my own experience, my youth group from my church and my wife and I, were on a Bike trip from San Francisco to San Diego and we caught (by hand) about 25 crawdads in the Little Sur river, cooked them and every one got at least one. Great memories.

What I was told growing up was the slaves that would try to run away or sneak out. They would take balls of fried corn meal and throw then to throw off their scent whole trying to escape and that's why they called them hush puppies. Just figured I'd share what I was taught by my great grandparents years ago. Love your content and lessons taught. Have a good day.

I’ve eaten my share of crawfish and love it. A friend of ours told us to put mushrooms in with the vegetables and it is delicious. I was at a boil a couple of weeks ago and my friend put pineapple chunks in with his vegetables and it was absolutely amazing how good that was. Give it a try, I promise you will love the sweet and heat together.

I loved this video! Well, all of the videos. Took me back to my childhood in Indiana. We used to catch crawdads, tadpoles, etc in old mailboxes we punched holes in and placed upstream in the creeks. We never ate them because you don't eat Indy dads, but what a great video! Thanks as usual for sharing!
