Remember how tame the romance between Han and Leia was handled? Remember how George Lucas tastefuly put forth the Anakin/Padme romance? (despite ONE particular revealing outfit) At the end of Attack of the Clones, we witnessed their marriage; the fact that Padme is very pregnant three years later in Revenge of the Sith pretty much established a few things. Most importantly: WE DIDN'T HAVE TO SEE IT. That was under 20th Century Fox and LucasFilm. YET today, it's the Company (DISNEY) that claims to be for children who are pushing Adult/Degenerate themes with all the subtlety of a bull in a China shop.

I always found it weird how as much as these people say they hate fair-skinned men, they sure love shipping them with dark women.

The point of an Enemy To Lovers subplot is that it’s part of a Redemption arc. The evil character can’t be so far gone that he can’t be saved. He (or she) has to become Good. Kylo killed his dad, for no reason. There’s no coming back from that so that ship never worked for me. This one is just as bad. He killed her friends and she doesn’t care, making them both jerks. Plus, he is convincing her to be evil. This is the reversal of everything wonderful about the trope. It’s gross.

I just came from a carnival where our local Lions Club had a table where they were giving away free books. They had teenagers yelling “Free books! Free Star Wars books!” The books were very nice, brand new High Republic Disney Star Wars books. They basically forced my 7-year old son to take one. B: The actual target Demographic for Star Wars is men over 30; so this idea that shows like this are for kids is a load of crap. C: This isn't Star Wars Canon, It's expensive fanfic with the Star Wars branding on it. There is plenty of official Star Wars non-canon material; the Acolyte is just another thing that can be thrown into the non-canon pile to be ignored.

I'll say this as objectively and heterosexually as I can: Manny Jacinto has a pretty good body, so respect. But at the same time, imagine how everyone would be up in arms if a woman were shown in the same way! To be clear, I have no problem with them showing shirtless Yord or Manny, if they want to, but shouldn't it be a bit more equal time for the women? instead, most of them have so many layers of clothes on, you can barely tell they are female. Maybe that's the point? Years ago, when I saw Ashoka in Rebels after Disney bought it, I noticed how it looked like she was wearing a serving tray on her chest, because God forbid we'd see her as a woman. It was then that I realized, we will never see a slave Leia in Disney Star Wars. We will never see dancing Twilek girls, not any Padme midriff. Even Andor has an opening scene in a brothel... But you wouldn't know it was a brothel because you never see anyone that looks like they work there. You're right, sex scenes don't belong in Star Wars, but I think you can still have a few sexy elements. But this is the Disney era, and it seems nobody is allowed to see women being female anymore. Oh well...
