I'm not a romcom person, but this is on my shortlist of favorites. It's funny, sweet, and Christmasy. And of course, Sandra Bullock is adorable. Good reaction as always, enjoyed watching with you.

One of my favorite Bill Pullman movies is the first one he was in. It’s a highly underrated movie called “Ruthless People”. His part is hilarious and Bette Midler and Danny DeVito really out did themselves in it.

Employers who try the "You're the only one without family" line to get people to work on Holidays are a huge RED flag. No one, literally NO ONE, should work for those jerks. Addendum: Volunteering to work for a holiday is one thing, being required to because you have an insensitive excuse for a human being as a boss is another ball of wax. Thankfully, my current boss closed the store for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Glynnis Johns, the grandmother, was a well-known actress in the 50s and 60s. She was perfect in this, delivering one of the best lines in the whole movie: "Well at least he'll have more room in this jockey shorts" out loud in the elevator 😂

Sandra Bullock is perfect. She’s cute, funny, wholesome, great actress, but she’s a wonderful person IRL. This movie, while a little silly, is so much fun. You can rewatch it and enjoy it every time. Nice reaction, thanks as always

It's so exciting for me to see somebody actually react to this movie, it's been kind of forgotten but it's my favorite Christmas movie. I just love the Catholic family in it, they're hysterically funny to me. It's reminds me a little bit of a movie with David Duchovny in it called Return To Me, in which the old men who are the bg characters are like the most hysterically funny and beautiful part of the whole film. Anyway thank you for doing this one, it's wonderful to see somebody actually watch this one!

Names to add to catalogue: Jason Bernard, who played Sandra Bullock's boss, was the judge in Liar Liar. Peter Boyle, who was Ox, the father, was the monster in Young Frankenstein and the boss of the toy company in The Santa Clause.

Sandra is great at romantic comedies and in my opinion this movie is so underrrated. 2 Sandra Bullock romcoms I hope you will add to your list are Miss Congeniality and The Proposal! And if you want serious Sandra you should watch The Blind Side in which she won an Academy Award for! Happy Holidays James!

Bill Pullman only played a romantic lead in two movies - this and The Virginian. Sooo wish he were cast in more. Underrated! At least he is remembered for Independence Day. Most recently in The Equalizer (1 and 2)

The Grandmother had a role as the wife in Mary Poppins. Saul the friend of the family was in 12 Angry Men, Being There, and Heaven Can Wait. Peter's dad was in Taxi Driver and Everybody Loves Raymond tv series. Peter also was in the tv series Law and Order and the film Summer Lovers. Ashley was in the early tv series Profiler.

1995 is right on the cusp of cell phones becoming cheap enough that people started to carry them and use them for more than "just in case of emergency." But they still weren't *that* common either. 1998 or so seemed to be when they really exploded into the "everyone has one" to my memory.

You've seen the father, Peter Boyle, in Young Frankenstein as the creature. Jack Warden had been around a long time in many films and TV shows. My favorite of his was "Donovan's Reef" with John Wayne.
