I grew up listening to this song. This is my mom's favorite Eagles song. She said her friends used to make fun of her listening to white folks' music, but she loved music PERIOD! Just because she lived in South Central Ca and went to school in Compton, Ca. She said it just made her better because she was more open to everything. So with that said, the Eagles are one of our favorite bands. And I can't tell you why lol!

Classic by the EAGLES!! Back in the day where my city pretty much had 1 radio station for all genres. I heard songs and learned of some great artist from all genres. As I kid I learned that music had no boundaries....It's able to transcend....it's only limitations are in the mind of the unwilling.

Timothy B Schmit is one of the most underrated musicians period. The Eagles plucked him out of Poco and then he also sung background vocals for Firefall’s “Just Remember I Love You”. He’s just a good dude too. The Eagles were going through other band member turmoil and he was just happy to be there wondering what all the fuss was about. The problem was The Eagles just had too much talent on one team. It basically imploded because of big egos not long after but you know, money can eventually bring you back together…

The Eagles are the most successful band in pretty much the whole world. They have 2 albums in the top 5 best sellers in history! This song is from '79 The Long Run. The other 2 is Hotel California and greatest hits album. They were the band playing in my head in the 70s. In '79 it was over, but they got back together in the late 90s! I finally got to see them in concert in '03! It was great! Nice reaction!

The Eagles put on the most awesome concerts. Have seen them several times. The last time was 2014 in Memphis. Just as they were getting ready to introduce Timothy B. Schmit to sing this song I yelled out, “I LOVE YOU TIMOTHY!!!!!” The band and the crowd roared! Lol

My all time favorite group. There music is timeless. Members of the band who had outstanding solo careers are Don Henley (the drummer), Glenn Fry (guitar) and Joe Walsh (crazy guitar). That is one of my favorite songs of all times. I watched the Eagles perform live at beautiful open air Greek Theater in Los Angeles in the 90's. It is up in the hills above Los Angeles in a place called Griffith Park. They had all been doing solo work for several years and they got back together for this special tour. I waited in line for hours to get the tickets. We were having a wonderful time and then to my great surprise they brought out Dan Fogelberg to perform a few songs with them!!! As I have mentioned in the past he is my favorite performer of all time. Dan Fogelberg to me is one of the truly greatest lyricists that ever lived. Boy was that a special night. The Eagles had been friends with Dan for many years meeting together when they were all just starting out in the business. Don Henley mentioned that night that the Eagles were renting a small house in the Hollywood Hills and working together getting the songs written for their upcoming album, when they woke up one morning to the sounds of the most beautiful, "angelic" piano music they had ever heard drifting through the canyon. It turned out to be Dan Fogelberg. I really loved watching this video too and seeing the Eagles performing in the studio. Great pick!

He almost has a Smokey Robinson type feel to his voice. And when the band comes in to back him up on the chorus. It actually to me and this is the first time I've actually realized it. It sounded a little like Smokey Robinson and the miracles. On the vocals anyway. Take care stay safe and be well.
