You are wrong about Miyako. She is bassicaly a classic musician, and they don't smile while they are performing although they smile very slightly sometimes, but concentrate to play what they are doing deeply. You'll notice sometimes she is totaly absorbed and in her ecstasy when she is performing. It is more than smiling.

Do you think that was a subject of a song that any of them should be "smiling" about ?.. "Miyako" is intense, and a perfectionist that enjoys in her own way..

At the time of the 2021 live performance, Miyako-san was 4 to 5 months pregnant. The two-hour concert must have been a performance that took a considerable toll on Miyako-san. Miyako's mentality during live shows is that of the Iron Lady, even when she's pregnant. She plays more than just the guitar, so even though she's always nervous, she pulls it off perfectly. However, although she is usually very kind, she sometimes forgets the names of her songs or forgets things. She's a genius, but there's something about her that makes so many people love her.

Because Electric Pentagram came out in the winter, Asami wanted a sad winter ballad. Miyako played the acoustic guitar on the track, but Live, Midori had to play it, because Miyako is busy on the piano! 🤘

🤷‍♂ - you're wrong ! Miyako LOVES what she is doing ( and she's the " genius " who composed this } . She is just naturally reserved - everyone doesn't have the sort of personality that sees them jumping around the stage with a manic grin on their faces - in fact throughout my 60 years of watching bands I've found it's very often ( with a few exceptions ) bands who are the showiest that use that to compensate for a lack of real talent . Life would be very boring if everyone was the same and if Miyako doesn't want to grin while she's performing that's fine by me - I'll just settle for her talent 😉

They are just phenomenal. How musically badass is Miyako to jump on the piano with her guitar over her chest and then jump back up to shred. And Midori's acoustic moment. I believe Miyako was 4-5 months pregnant in this video as well. Miyako is almost always very stoic. She has quite a few videos where she head bangs, smiles, engages the crowd and other members (We the United & M.D.O. are 2 exmples). Love what she does? I would say she lives to play. Personally I love her stoic demeanor. Ying to Midori's yang. She has her own YT channel where her personality comes out.

Miyako smiles all the time off stge and waving goodbye to crowd on we the united when it ends and they throw picks and sticks to crowd she is just reserved and concentrates on her skill while playing whereas Midori is way more outgoing. she has her own channel on KZfaq and shares all the time she is quite friendly and she loves what she does she creates a vast majority of the music for lovebites and Asami does the lyrics, Now that Fami is around am curious to see if her song writing gets added to mix I believe Judgement Day was already done except bass parts that Fami added once she joined.

If you want Miyako more animated then try Spellbound from Heavy Metal Never Dies Tokyo 2021. She is actually much more lively in real life than the stage persona she often shows when she's hyperfocused.

Miyako does not smile, so is she bored? How could a composer extraordinaire in the likes of Miyako feel bored when half of the total discography are her compositions. If there are hints of boredom, perhaps it is getting too easy and mundane for her. With her masterful display of music theory and time signature dynamics displayed in her compositions, she has proven to be a musician constantly challenging her musical attributes and inherent potential in this field. She is indeed an accomplished musician,serious about her work. I am not a metal head, but on the same token, to invoke musician composers that hardly smile are world class musicians : Guitarist and composer Pat Metheny, Al Dimeola, John Mclaughlin, the late Paco Delucia. Even the masterful display from current greats like Matteo Mancusso, Dewa Bujana, Mateus Asato and the currently one and only Yamandu Costa seldom exudes the happy smile. They dont smile , due to being serious in their work as musicians and performers. Check out world class drummers like Steve Gadd or Dave Weckl. Or try reviewing great piano players like the late Chick Corea or Herbie Hancock. They all exude a common demeanor demonstrating concentration and intensity. Well apart from this, have yet to witness either Vai or Satriani or Petrucci give a hefty smile while performing.

Yes, their exceptional talents are truly mesmerizing! I will say, I actually appreciate the difference in Midori and Miyako's stage presence. They're both phenomenal guitarists and doing what comes naturally to their individual performances. There are a lot of mediocre male bands out there with members that never "smile" that never get this kind of criticism. And I would much rather see exceptional talent, than mediocre "not smiling" guys, just being honest.

I don't think everybody should walk around smiling all of the time. I know those people are out there. I call those people, the word starts with an "R". Miyako is Miyako and that's 100% perfect. One thing that people that smile all the time have in common: they're all very slow at processing anything.

What a true professional Miho is that she could play through that song while being so visibly hurting. Asami was emotional as well.

Sometime between the 2019 and 2020 tours, Midori and Miyako made a creative decision to create a striking contrast between Midori's outgoing personality and Miyako's more introverted personality, with both ladies playing up their particular extreme to create a sort of Yin and Yang vibe. They have talked about it in interviews in the past. Prior to 2020, they didn't do that, and Miyako was a lot more animated. They kind of abandoned that dichotomy after the 2021 tour, and Miyako is more vibrant on stage nowadays. It was an experimental artistic choice, but it didn't connect with a lot of fans, so that may be why they dropped it and went back to their more normal stage personalities.

A master class of good taste and elegance under the chords of heavy metal. A beautiful lyric from Asami, as always, and a worthy interpretation of a song that is at the top of the wonderful Lovevites. I love them.
