Its so true about the countless hours, months even, of practice these ladies hace dedicated to their crafts. Whats even more impressive is Miyako and Midori did not start playing guitar until they where 18. Then add it the countless rehearsals hours needed to play so tightas a group live. Theres a video of Lovebites doing about a 45 minute sound check for a show in Singapore back in 2020, and you really get an idea of how in sync they are because its shot off one camera without sound through a mixing board, and they sound flawless warming up to a few songs. They are definitely my favorite group of musicians playing right now.

As a professional, you should definitely check out how LOVEBITES perform Frederic Chopin's 'Etude' & 'Swan Song'. This is the 2020 LOVEBITES concert. It is not necessary to make a reaction for YT. Take 10 minutes to watch the 2020 version. I think you will find this interesting. LOVEBITES - 'Swan Song' + Chopin Intro ('Five of a Kind', 21.02.2020)

Hey, good to see you again and thanks for returning to LOVEBITES. Without scrolling down, I already know that there's going to be people complaining that this isn't the 2020 "Five of a Kind" version. While that is the superior version, this more recent version is still pretty good. I feel like the mix on this show as a whole is off, but that doesn't detract from Asami belting away on the vocals and Haruna playing with her usual machine-like precision. Plus, the writing on this song will always shine through.

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: miyako / both Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: midori [guitar] / miyako [piano] ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: miyako & LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020 ------

Excellent!! This is the best live version regarding Asami perfecting her delivery of this epic piece, both with her English pronunciation and the roll-off of notes in the chorus. Prior live versions will showcase the piano much better, both in terms of the Chopin intro and the mix.

Awesome reaction my friend. I subscribed long ago because you do great reactions and know what you are talking about. As much as you loved this version the older version that isn't on their official channel is even better. The reason being the older version has a better mix so you can hear the piano more and Miyako does a glorious piano intro of a classical piece for it that fits so nicely. I am sure many wolfpack members will point this out to you. I hope they don't get mad at you because you didn't know, so it isn't your fault. They're just being silly hardcore fans.

When Miho met Asami, Vocals, Asami knew nothing about metal. She was mainly a R and B, Soul singer. She is the primary lyricist. In her youth she trained as a Ballerina and lived in LA where she learned to speak, read and write in English.

Midori is a Kemper artist. She was brought to NAMM before Covid to perform in the Kemper stand. Video is available. Also my comments are there lamenting the indifference of the onlookers while she played. She wasn't demoing some accounting software but a device that can simulate any guitar pedal under the sun. Very easy to use, you have a software that you select what you want upload to a USB stick and apply it to your box. Also, the sound is cleaner because they are mixing it from the output of the Kemper and not from a microphone attached to the front of the amplifier's speaker

You hit the nail on the head. The "talent" is the natural ability/patience to be able to PRACTICE. Most people do not have the patience or the time it takes to master an instrument. It's too frustrating, and it takes too long to be really good. The "time" is around 10 years, although some really "talented" prodigy virtuoso's can do it in less time. Those people who have the patience to practice 8 hours a day. I will never be good at any instrument, because I HATE practicing. Practicing SUCKS for me. I get frustrated in about 2 minutes and want to light the thing on fire. I like "playing" the guitar and making noise with it. But "practicing" is horrible. I like the "sound" a guitar makes. But spending 10 years learning music theory and practicing... forget it. 🤮

I am an old Spanish wolf, and honestly, I am in awe of these girls, I still remember that distant 1978, when I was waiting in front of the record store for the latest Rainbow or AC/DC album and now, after a thousand years later and with the transformation of heavy metal into something dark, pessimistic, sometimes unpleasant, I find myself with these wonderful women, incredible and beautiful artists, full of sympathy and positive energy, who transmit joy of life and hope, who have filled my heart with joy. I cant stop watching and enjoying them; I have forgotten the old bands with their old musicians who repeat their old songs over and over again; I just want to hear, see and feel these masters of heavy metal music. And special mention to the most beautiful and talented singer in the world, my beloved Asami, the goddess before whose feet I bow. It is a pleasure for me to greet you all.

Great Reaction, Brian. One thing you DON'T have to wait for. The 'Classic' version of *_Swan Song_* is the Live recording from Zepp Diver City, Tokyo in 2020. It is opened by Miyako (pianist here) playing a Chopin Etude - flawlessly (she trained classical piano from age 3). She also Composed this song (lyrics by Asami - vocalist). The sound mix in that concert is also *Legendary* . Now that you've reacted to This one, you can watch the earlier version without spoiling anything *:0)* - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/msl9idej29auoJ8.html For something New - how about a Lovebites song with . . . 14 separate guitar solos? *_Scream for Me_* kzfaq.info/get/bejne/apyqYJRk0ZjTfqc.html& (from a 2020 Livestream of their 1st Album for their fans during Covid)

That is Miyako's fault. She specifically requested they make the piano quieter than Midori's guitar during her solo just before Mi-Ya switches to piano. I think she felt bad that She was so 'featured' in the song, and wanted Midori to get her share of attention too. (That is *_SO_* Miyako)

Many of them has asked you to react to Swan Song but they meant the one with the Chopin intro, in that one you'll see Miyako plays a Chopin intro on piano and then the end of this song with the piano outro makes much more sense, it fits so well together and needless to say that this one has a bad audiomix while the one with Chopin intro you can hear the piano loud and clear. Altough you like this one, the other one you'll like much more I'll guarantee you.

I'm not a musician, so not sure how relevant this will be, but to pick up on what you said about the two guitarists. The one with long black hair, Miyako, is as you say 'old school' in her set up, compared to that of her companion, Midori, the one with the Kemper. I have commented to friends how they have very different equipment choices, but are able to compliment each other perfectly. I think the two of them must spend many hours together in practice and arranging their parts in order to get this level of performance. I think the term 'different but equal' applies here. One of the things that strikes me about Lovebites as a band is that there doesn't seem to be any of the ego that has damaged many good bands in years gone by. These ladies seem to be genuinely good friends, off stage as well as on. Even Fami, the new bass player, looks to have become a part of the family ( that last sentence is a pun that was unintended when I wrote it LOL)

Thanks for more LOVEBITES. I will affirm "Swan Song" suggested re-viewing: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jaiYp9SYzr6pcWg.html (reaction or not) Specifically, inclusion of Chopin intro, the clarity of all instruments including Midori's melodic-shred-accompaniment with choral segment & Miyako's piano while the band is still playing, & even the higher keys when she is doing the solo outro. I suggest 2 'prog' songs from 2021 in one upload: "Paranoia > Dystopia Symphony": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9tggdqaqJecqWQ.html These have no Music Video or LIVE as of yet, but as impressive as any, even without 'visuals'. I'm so glad to have you back finally. If you want to try a serious piano work in the same show, try Lost In The Garden kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fsyAeqeH3ZnIYWg.html. It's got a bonus. Asami the singer also plays piano behind Miyako the dark haired guitarist's epic guitar solo. It's so beautiful such an epic guitar solo over piano. BTW, this version of Swan Song has a problem in the post production. The mixing made sound somehow vague, you can hardly hear piano. Try this 2020 version kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bN2Dnb2fx7-0lKs.html. It's got brilliant Chopin Revolutionary Etude as the intro.

Some knowledge of history is required to understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song. In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was known as the 'November Revolution', but failed due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented the Etude OP 10, No. 12 in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, then named it the 'Revolutionary Etude'. Miyako composed Swan Song based on this 'Revolutionary Etude' and Dvorak's 'New World Symphony'. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake", based on the historical background of the "Revolutionary Etude". "SwanSong" is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.
