Hi James: It was just yesterday that I was learning about the Fluffies and they have been around in Europe for about the last five years. So it is now appearing in Canada and the USA due to these dogs being shipped from Europe.

Hi, James i am a big fan of your work i watched all your videos! I have a question about breeding a French bulldog and i know you made a video about it. I have a female French bulldog 2 years old she is brindle ( black coat with yellow lines in Russia we call them tiger French Bulldogs with black eyes) i want brindle with white lines how can i breed her for that. Thank you for your videos especially this one i was really interested in these fluffy guys but couldn't find enough information.

The long-haired to show the dog has to have two copies of fluffy it’s unlikely that your dog has a single copy but a dna test Will tell all

Hi James, me again. Pups arrived early, so in a way my colour question is resolved. The litter came out 3 boys and 3 girls, 3 blue 3 “dark and tan” (not sure yet how that dark colouring is going to develop, black or brown) and just 1 dark brindle. I feared more brindle pups to be honest. Now just need to decide pretty quickly on blue or dark and tan, and really not sure which, any thoughts from a future breeding perspective? Apparently the blue can fade to brown after a few months, is that right?

Brenmck 1991 I don’t mind if the blue darkens at all, it’s just a friend of mine has English Bulldogs and she told me tonight that some folk pay an awful lot for blue Bulldogs that then end up blatantly either not blue, or not the solid blue they were as pups. Just thought I’d try to get some clarification. Thanks. 👍

My girl blue frenchbulldog just had puppies they are a week old they are whining more when they feed i feel they are not getting enough milk is it ok to intervene and feed them with replacement milk? And have them still feed off the mom?

Yes absolutely start feeding with goats milk or puppy milk replacer weigh pups daily they should gain 1/2 oz or more daily. Crying puppies typically are cold or hungry. Both are of concern

I’ve been offered male with Jose exact genetics but I believe he has chocolate at least one copy. And he’s carrier or fluffy not a visual. His price is $6500 want to know if it’s worth it? Only thing is had one copy of pied in it

50% would be fluffy carriers and 50% would be short coat

If you’re female does not carry at least one ☝️ copy of fluffy , then all your puppies will be fluffy carriers only from breeding to a visual fluffy stud . Breeding to a fluffy carrier stud then 20-50% of your puppies will be fluffy carriers. Or u may get lucky 🍀 and all your puppies will carry fluffy. Its just the role of the dice 🎲 with carriers .

It was a mistakd on animal genetic cuz my dog is a blue cream fluffy carrier but dna came back as a cream fluffy lol but I dint know then cuz he do got longer hair tham other frenchies but people was telling me he was a l1 and evryone was telling me different things

Dez Torres A Japanese chin but you can actually get purebred long haired french bulldogs but they are very rare and it happens because of a rare genetic either from the mother or father but be careful a lot of breeders scam and say that they are purebred but they sometimes are mutts

@LoveMyPups Your understanding of genetic diversity and line breeding are off a bit... Inbreeding is inbreeding, linebreeding is linebreeding. They are different. Not the same. Also genetic diversity comes from inbreeding. If you mixed all the dogs on earth together eventually they will all look the same. It's inbreeding that creates genetic diversity in a species.

Seems a lot of these pop up breeders are only interested in dna marker for colour genes these days and not into the dna marker for breed testing or even health testing ,but there again why should they be when it’s all about so called rare colours that have only just been recently introduced into the breed and then your supposed to believe that the fluffy is a pure breed don’t make me laugh. Some of these breeders are so streetwise in my opinion claiming something when it’s not,what’s next the fluffy English bulldog with a back story.
