I've never been accepted where I grew up & disliked myself for being "weird" but it turns out I'm completely boring once I moved. Now I feel free to be whatever kind of flower I want! Hang in, set goals, find yourself but don't give up.

As an early teen I was absolutely fascinated with the original club kids by what I saw on talkshows and such. I always wanted to visit the limelight. And now these beautiful people gave the creative scene a new boost of energy. As a 37 year old, I’d love to visit Battle Hymn!

I have mixed feelings about "club kids". Sometimes I find the whole idea of dressing up and living out a fantasy really inspiring... other times I watch the old footage and feel kind of depressed. I was never a big dresser but I knew people who dressed up as robots or fluoroed themselves up and were an integral part of the party... I don't know, maybe I'm just old and jaded. I haven't even set foot in a nightclub or rave for nearly 20 years... But to any young clubberkiddie reading this my message is ROCK ON!!
