Just saw Loverboy and Foreigner in concert this summer in Denver. They were even better than I remember. 80's certainly was the best decade to grow up in.

I swear if time machines were real I'de go visit the year 1986 even if it was just for a 3 day weekend! How I miss my childhood years when the world was Internet free and no Cell phones yet just clean fun with all the best music that was ever made and movies too! How the world has changed so much in 36 yrs,it ain't the same more, everything is so complicated now ☹️

Went to a Loverboy/Dokken concert in the summer of '86 . . . what a moment for a lot of reasons. Not to mention NO internet, NO cells. Those were the days.

I saw them on that tour too in Ft. Myers Florida. Joan Jett was on the bill also. I want to say tickets were something like $13.50. Cellar Door Productions.

I wish all of us old heads that were teens in the 80's could go back to that era and just stay there. Those were the best times of my life. Fast cars, girlfriends, booze crusin', football games, high school dances and of course the music. The music is what made the 80's awesome.

Before I heard this song, it was my wife and i's 30th year wedding anniversary......I planned a riverboat cruise, diamond necklace and earrings, and a nice flower bouquet, and a suite while toasting with champagne, while listening to some of our favorite songs I downloaded that we grew up with and came across this forgotten song....its now the title to our special night.....told my kids I wanted this to be a night for their mom to remember.......and it was!!...I got a happy tear out of her eye!!....will be one of my favorite songs

Bit older here….was going to college in L-ville….saw Loverboy, REO, Def Leppard -( bus crash canceled show, drummer lost his arm )- Billy Squire, Don Henley, 38 Special, Cars, Journey, Toto…to name a few….outta college into Army…then it was Rush, Pink Floyd, early U2, Accept, Scorpions, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, etc….now, would ya believe I listen to Linkin Park, Disturbed, etc… …we definitely had a sweet 20 or so years of Killer Music!!! 90’s has numerous decent groups too but, from the 70’s to ‘88, WHEW!!! ✌️😎

I agree the music,bars,dating who you want sometimes 3 dates in one day I miss my true love and partying like hell girls night at the male strippers at all the bars lemon peel was fun all of it and alot of friends you make. Yes, thankfully, some of the 80s artists are still making music. Mike Reno has a new song, "Your Own Hero" on the new World Stage album "Roots and Shoots vol. 2. A singer named Diamante has released an 80s style song called "1987". Various younger singers/groups are releasing 80s style music on the Italian Frontiers record label. Etc.

My husband and I are going to see Loverboy, Styx and REO Speedwagon tomorrow in Pittsburgh, Pa. We’ve been together for 29 years, married 26 and we’ve seen so many 80’s bands together. There’s nothing like seeing the bands you grew up with on stage, on a warm summer night, singing them live while you and thousands of people around you sing along together🥰🎶

Johnathan Cain was writing a song when he was with Bad English that the lead singer John Wait said he didn't like it and it didn't fit the bands style of music. Cain later joined journey and presented the song to Perry who later came up with a couple lyrics and it became a hit.

Was actually written by Mike Reno and guitarist Paul Dean. Cain stepped in later to help with it because they were struggling with the chorus. Outstanding tune, nonetheless. Cain is a master song writer...even when he was with the Babys...another hugely underappreciated band!

Actually, Jonothon Cain came up with the synth parts. I don’t think he wrote the song. Paul and Mike did the majority of the writing.

I saw Loverboy at Mattawa Voyageur Days in July of 2000 (first row) and the basis Scott passed away in November 2000. I was lucky that I had the chance to see all the original band members.

This song was my song from the first boy I fell in love with i was in 8th grade and he was a sophomore. 2-27-86. We lost contact over the years and just recently reconnected in October. Sadly he was killed in a hit and run in November and we didn't get a chance to catch up. This will always be our song!

New Years Eve. Early 80's. Los Angeles Forum. Bryan Adams, Joan Jett and Loverboy. Best concert EVER. Loverboy was on stage before midnight and as midnight hit they were singing "When It's Over". 40 years ago and I'll never forget it. What a night. I'd love to go back to the 80's.
