She had low AMH levels at only 34! 😯 I know what you’re thinking...it should not happen
Low AMH is something you don't want to worry about until your well into your 40s.
But sometimes, it does happen before then. Just like it did for the program member whose story I want to share with you today.
Low ovarian health, diminished ovarian reserve, early menopause...These are all conditions we see daily in the Hope Program.

The part that hit home to me is that no one in the UK has tried to regulate my hormones, I have low AMH and high FSH and dont know what to do to try and regulate my cycles to give me the best chance of trying when i ovulate, as never know exactly when that is. Here in the UK they tell you to go straight to IVF and donor. I'm older than the lady in your case study (age 41) but feel like I need more support on this. Will look in to the coaching program.

You are so right, in the UK they dismiss female reproductive problems with no real help or information/investigations.

It’s like this in other countries too. As I’ve come to understand the medical system more - they usually have a protocol from which they start (basic tests for fertility, gradual fertility procedures) but most gynecologist won’t look deeper into hormonal balance or try to actually “investigate” the causes of your problems (they could be many). I’ve been to 4 doctors so far - all of them reccomend IVF (I have low Amh and unexplained infertility) IVF is actually the most efficient method doctors have to get you pregnant. But it’s about 35-70% succes rate and there are some who are poor responders to stimulation medication (especially those with low Amh) But what if you don’t want IVF? What if you want more answers? What if there could be other problems undiscovered that could affect IVF outcome as well?

@lalasi5832 I had 3 misscarage. After that, my husband and I found an ivf specialist. All the exams were good. Just my egg count was low. I did to IUIs no success 😪 I did not get pregnant.

It shows that the protocol that was used does not work on your body, not that you can't produce good eggs. Don't let their labels push down a road you don't want to go.

I have very low Amh for my age and I tested high for FSH (above 11). I tried a DHEA protocol(not a very high dose) for 2 months. After 3 months from last test I tested again - Amh lowered, but FSH became half of it’s value (from 11.5 to 5.5) I think it’s because DHEA stimulates estrogen production. Also, a question: does TSH (thyroid) need to be bellow 2.5 for good fertility or not necessarily? Thank you

Yes, your TSh levels can impact your fertility and it is best to have them lower than 2.5

Hi Dr Marc it's Nancy, one of your many followers, I just wanted to let you know that after years of chains of miscarriages and failed IVF's, I missed my period on the 13th of October 2022 on the 20th took a test was positive but I'm so terrified I see brownish discharge or light salmon color when I wipe, went for bloods it confirmed pregnancy but my progesterone is very low its a 10 if I'm stating it correctly right now going to the hospital for a scan & more bloods, I really want this baby you know my story. I am scared as to what the Dr will say in the next hour 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Unfortunately we lost another baby 😔😢 this past Saturday, my progesterone was not high enough we did more blood tests and the HCG dropped it did not double as we were hoping for 😔, my doctor said I should inform him immediately when I see my period, and he will put me on some hormone 🤷‍♀️. I don't know for how long we can keep going through this pain all my 4 of my pregnancies did not get past 2 months and the 2 IVF's the embryos developed well and after the transfers, they failed to implant😞😞 but the fertility specialist had checked my womb & said all is well, I don't know why this keeps happening and I'm not getting any younger neither is my husband, keep well Dr Marc and thank you again. @@MarcSklarTheFertilityExpert hi Dr Marc I hope you are well, I had more bloods taken, & they r called protein C, V Leiden mutation, and chromosomal analysis 🤷‍♀️ please explain what these tests are for and if I can carry babies some day , thyroid and more where done when I was going for IVF. Then I was told that later in life I was going to have or suffer from Lupus again🤷‍♀️. Take care.

With low progesterone levels you should be on Duphaston or other progesterone supplementation

Doctor Sklar, is there any way (hormonal or alternative medicine) to NOT ovulate every month, but to menstruate just a few times per year, in order to not prematurely finish up the ovarian reserve? I know that a monthly cycle is a sign of good function, but every month is an extra lamentable loss, when you are single.

Hello gamgee... Your concerns are genuine... menstruation and ovulation goes hand in hand. A girl child is born with millions of eggs at birth! Under normal circumstances those eggs shouldn't get prematurely finished.
