I have to throw a compliment out to Yvonne! Her review of the dishes she eats is genuine! Her balance of compliment to criticism makes you feel that her review is real. I called ahead and order the Nem Nướng Roll, the Saigon special Bánh Mì, and the BBQ vermicelli bowl to see what you guys were raving about and omg that's the best Gỏi Cuốn (summer roll) I've had here in Hawaii in the past 3 decades! I loved when I think it was season 2 of HI 5-0 when Daniel Kim (Chin) bought a dozen coco puffs in the box and gave it Scott Caan (Danny) while they were having a break under the banyan tree in the parking lot at the corner of Queen St. and Punchbowl St and Danny said it was soo good...this introduced I feel the coco puffs to the world.

The best part of the Banh mi is the the pate and Mayo. The baguette is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and packed with all the goodness. The head cheese is the best!

My dad worked as a baker in Liliha bakery on the 70s. He was in charge of the sugar donuts. He would bring me home a bag when he came home. That’s the start of my addiction on donuts ❤️

Hello Buddies great to see Yvonne. Been meaning to go to Mai Musubi it's on now!. Didn't know there was a Bahn Mi shop in Liliha. Next time you go Liliha Bakery check out the Lemon Coconut Square it's tangy & light. The Banana Chantilly Cupcake 👍👍🐷🐷. Avoid scones.

Grew up on Lanakila and kuakini. Spent alot of time at the original L&L before it was L&L. Shimazu shave ice, Liliha Bakery, Jane's Fountain, Tamashiro Fish Market.

You can easily find local fruits at all the saturdays farmers markets al lover island (I like waialua farmers market on sat 9-1 north shore) during the week my kids and I like to drive to kahuku from north shore and stop at the fruit stands by the road

I've been in Waikiki since Sunday and leaving this Sunday and the lines for some places are CRAZY !!! #doordashforthewin (I guess) glad I get to still try stuff from here though anyways even if it is door dash.

Liliha's is great, been to all 3 locations and recently heard they are planning on opening up a 4th location in the International Marketplace Waikiki by the end of this year. Love hole in the wall restaurants. Love unagi and katsudon. Liliha Bakery is fantastic right up there with Komoda's on Maui. But I do disagree with your thoughts on Bali bread, I love them even though they are thick. After I eat my plate lunch and flan, I get some bread to take home with me. Now I'm hungry for Coco Puffs, must hit a bakery tomorrow. Mahalo and Aloha.

Adding Mai Musube and Bella Banh Mi to my list. The list keeps growing. Liliha's coco puffs are da best! Beard Papa's claims to have the best cream puffs in the world, but it's minor leagues compared to Liliha's coco puffs. BTW, how about going to Mitsuba Delicatessen? Their garlic chicken and cone sushi are good. But their Okinawan Sweet Potato Crumbles are really, really good.

Liliha coco puff is my goto food whenevery I fly home. I'm a local boy that live in NY, went to farrington, still got my child home in Iao Lane, next to likelike school. first thing I do when I land is drop off my bags and walk to liliha to eat and pickup some coco puff for breakfast.

I agree with Amanda but Fresh roast pork bahn mi sandwich with a lot of vegetables is the best.. better than the frozen meat subway or mc d or fast foods. Best
