@@jae9581 I don’t think you HAVE to be okay with that, be thankful that they can be honest. But the fact that she had to send a nude to someone who would appreciate it says a lot of what it did mentally. While yes, we can be sexually unattracted to our partner from time to time. in this conversation it was that she isn’t feeling sexual at all. He still has libido but was not attracted to her at the time. While it hurt her knowing that her body wasn’t turning her partner on I’m sure a big part of that is the feeling of rejection that can fuck with a pregnant person mentally. I went through something similar and then was shamed for being upset when I was rejected. For me It was more of a let’s be intimate because we’ve lost connection somehow through pregnancy and how we felt connected before, was by being intimate. Pregnancy changes a lot of things especially if it’s your first. I commend them for being transparent now about the struggles they both had.

So in love with Shan’s honesty.. So happy she can share this gift with her hubby.. I totally appreciate her divine essence in being secure and self aware.. I totally get feeling sexier by sending a racy picture to get an esteem booster I guess it’s different for guys because they don’t usually find pleasure in the (tease transaction)their whole purpose in initiative racy photos etc is the follow through , but I also felt like he was holding back to not hurt her feelings cause his was slightly offended with her sending the picture.. I feel though it’s the gender perspective of women love with their ears and men with their eyes.

I’m relieved that I’m not the only one thinking that thought! Granted they started out as friends with Benefits…they are a married couple now. It’s possible that they have an OPEN relationship but even then…I don’t care which spouse has the libido issue, pursuing an outsider while your spouse is pregnant makes for bad timing…especially if you’re the one that impregnated her!!!

@@Riteideas shes living with the 'consequences' of her and Jared having sex 247 while pregnant. His body (dna) is inside her night and day during this time. If its bad taste for her to have an FWB while preg (which 99.99% of people would certainly feel this way) then it is for him too. I agree it doesnt count the same if they were together but she was pregnant with another mans. I dont think Jared would ever do it because he knows its wrong. I know for me my libido goes through ups, downs and disappears. In many of my past experiences guys become upset, take to ego, don’t have the capacity to understand. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT! This episode was right on time. I am currently pregnant with our fourth child and found out that my husband has been texting other woman. This has been a continuous issue in our relationship. It is frustrating because when I approached him about this he shouted, "...I'm glad you found them...I wouldn't have to text other women if you were doing your job!" Ouch! I'm still licking that wound because pregnancy is difficult, especially when you already have children, you are still working and going to school. I'm depleted at the end of the day and the last thing I want to do is have sex. When the conversation started between Shan and Jared, I found myself envious of their effective communication and sympathy for one another. I had to remind myself that they have worked diligently to be in that space. This ended up being an hour long podcast for me because I provided myself a mini therapy session. I continuously paused the video to talk through the topics they presented and discussed (with myself) my marriage, personal views, and changes that must be made. Ahhh, I feel good right now...thanks you guys😊

hello, this is one of the reasons i hold off myself ever marrying or even entertaining a happily ever after relationship. i just know i cant set myself to that standard of a 'perfect woman' without that pressure eating me alive inside. who can be sexy, ever ready and alluring most days only unless you have retinues and maids waiting your bid 24/7 so you have ample time devoted to your self care and needs... idk but unless i am well off, cohabitting with a man is a disaster. being somewhat low in socioeconomic status would work if only the man is emotionally mature.. other than that, marriage is a disaster

You have blame in this too and need to own up to your decisions. If it’s been an ongoing issue in your relationship why stay? Why get pregnant with a guy like that? And four times?!!! Damn women are so desperate sometimes and settle for anything just to say they have a “relationship” and a “family”. If you never set a firm boundary and broke it off with him the first times you saw texts from other women, then he took it as it being ok to keep doing.

Why should she do all of that to make him happy, he should also try to be understanding that she is a pregnant and communicate with her properly things that she can do to help this impasse. Congratulations on the new baby. I'm currently in the same low sex drive boat, first pregnancy, and my husband is not coping at all. We're not open so he doesn't have the option to go to someone else unfortunately (even the thought did cross my mind). We watched this together and knowing that another man is going through this made him feel like he's not alone in a way. We had a very honest conversation after watching this video. I hope things can get better because I really don't like that he's 'suffering'.

These are conversations that couples need to have. Me and my fiancé are going through a dry spell right now. Neither want anything to do with sex but our intimacy is going strong. We connect with touch and express ourselves honesty. I love these conversations you two have bc it makes me understand what I’m going through and open the door for me to have these open conversations in my relationship. It has allowed us to grow along with your talks. Thanks!

This is so healthy for couples to see because what a lot of us portray to the public is that we’re perfect. Instead, many of us go through these seasons of uncertainty surrounding our sex lives & intimacy, & we feel guilty for not being in tune with ourselves/our partners. Thank you both for being a bright light in the world! Loved this!

Hi Shan and Jared, this is my first time commenting on your video but I’ve always been a fan of you and your videos and podcasts. Your podcasts are literally my therapy and I learn a lot from them so thank you! And Congratulations on your baby two! ❤️ I’m sorry this has nothing to do with this video, but I’m currently going through the same situation you shared on your video where you talked about std and your past toxic relationship. I recently went to the health clinic and got tested positive for chlamydia after finding out my partner was having multiple sexual relationships outside of our relationship (thought we were exclusive this whole time) and since he doesn’t want to be clear about how long he was being unfaithful for I have no idea how long I had this sti. (He’s the only person I’ve ever had unprotected sex with.) I’m scared that it has already affected my fertility completely to where I can’t get pregnant in the future. I’ve been crying everyday thinking about it. But seeing you have babies give me hope. If it’s not too personal, did it affect your chance of getting pregnant in any way? Shan, if you see this, or if anyone knows, how long is too long to have chlamydia untreated? I’m guessing I’ve had it for more than 3 months. If anyone had this before, does having it untreated for 3 months affect fertility? I have no one or anywhere else to tell this to and I’m very scared. I’d appreciate it if anyone knows.

Great conversation! As much as I appreciate the maturity to speak openly, there’s a part of me that finds this convo a bit triggering. The woman gives up her body for a few months (a pregnancy she didn’t create on her own), yet the man can’t adjust for a few months, so the woman has to carry that guilt too? I get that it’s hard (not saying it’s easy), but I would not have appreciated my husband while I am over here pregnant and scared also adding to my anxiety in this way. I think partners need to give eachother forgiveness and some grace during this period. It’s a season that will pass.

Jared is 1000% correct I gave birth in Nov 2020, my husband was the same way . More of the idea of not wanting to violate, disrespect to their baby. Even though logically and physically they know thats not really possible. It still is a primal instinct for some men. My husband went through a lot coming to terms with becoming a first time dad. But he supported me the best he could , and supporting me through our first pregnancy it did not mean he love or desire me any less.

This. Is. Right. On. Time.!!! I've been experiencing a lower drive, and I've felt so alone. And, what's interesting, you're on of the women - relationships - I looked at and thought, "What's wrong with me?" Then, all the fears that come with the thought of losing the person you love. 😥. I'm so grateful for you and Jared's honesty! I will try to watch this with my man. 🤞🏽🙏🏽
