Very good information. I enjoyed the detail given on using the unit. This video convinced me to upgrade my electronics on my old Ranger R71 bass boat. I currently have the original Lowrance X-48 that came with the boat. I will be buying the Elite ti in the next two weeks, thanks. Did you rig the unit and transducer yourself? I'd like to see how to do that also. Is the unit capable of sidescan?

have had this exact unit for two years, my sons gave it to me and still havn't figured out how to turn it on so it stays on. Guess I am ketchn too many fish without it to bother but would like to get this thing working.

Really good information, quick question. I fish mostly bays so the maximum depth reaches 60ft. Should I keep my sonar on shallow?

Yes shallow is best for lakes and rivers our lakes get up to 400 ft deep and still i choose shallow🦍

Ralph Martignetti sr yes theese are your eyes under water same for other lakes unless theres alot of debree from storm rain ext u may have to tweak contrast at that point good luck

Good Information. Still confused a bit though. I have same unit on my 17' Sunbird fish and ski and am new to using. My sonar is on the transom as well. Are you having to change the sonar settings shown in the beginning of this video to allow you to drop in the front while still using the same transom sonar or are you using a different sonar mounted in the front? A little confused on how your able to see line from the front when the sonar images normally seen coming from the right side of the screen should have already passed the front and is passing the rear. Still learning, Thanks

I have a elite 12 ti on the dash of my tracker. I wanted to mount a 9ti like you have on the bow. I have a ulterra. Is it worth going that route or would it be easier to just buy a hummingbird unit for the front? Also does the 9 and 12 network wirelessly or would i need a kit. Id like to have a transducer for the front

Im not familiar with the ulterra i know a ducer can be mounted on it externally some how to link the 2 ti units u need the nema 2k kit in all reality ulterra should have a ducer built in the bottom not certain i know minnkota and humminbird are the same company and lowrance is compatible with Motorguide tricky situation your in also ive heard the best ducers are externally mounted regardless of brand

Depends on deph but i for deep wAter 10lb poer pro braid to a 8lb 1/2 oz weight p line cx moss green line for shallow water grass 15 lb braid to 12 lb pline cx 1/4 oz weight

Howdy-nice video-can you use the HDI 83/200-455/800 on the trolling motor and also have the Total Scan on the transom running to one Elite 9 Ti on the console? If so, what connectors are needed-thanks

Ron Lutes yes you can hdi on troll total scan on transom the units can be linked with a nema 2000k starter kit and 1 extra T connector and the units can share way points only. I would call lowrance to be exact on that.thx for stopping bye and tight lines 🐟

I have the same only I get understsnd where to drop? On which side of the boat etc. The screen shows a view on a pretty large area and you don’t know where they are exactly. Basically, as I understand it, even though it looks like you are dropping right on the fish on the screen you could, in reality be several meters away from them. The distance depending on how deep it is offcourse.....

Do do you have one Elite ti on the trolling motor and one on the console? Or is that just one Elite Ti, that you moved to the bow with two transducers? Looks like from the other video's that you have a total scan transducer on the transom? But in this video you're fishing off the trolling motor mount transducer. I'm in the market and I'm still debating between the Helix and the Elite Ti. Looks like you prefer the Lowrance. Great video's. Thanks

TheeJackieChan if you want it up front use the hdi 200/800 455/800 khz skimmer transducer. IF you put on BACK OF BOATV use total scan TRANSDUCER .I HAVE BOTH

TheeJackieChan check e bay also digital oasis or anchor express. Google elite 7 ti alout of good deals out there check around first i usalky call custumer service to get details good luck make sure unit ships with total scan then get 1 for trolling motor with the hdi ducer

He might be running that ducer because there is no room on the trolling motor r for the totalscan. That's what I have to do.

I guess I should have added it might not be for image quality, just fitment issues.
