I was dating someone and we were going through a rough patch. My brother called and asked me if I wanted to double date with his gf sister. All I needed was this type of drama in my current relationship. I told him no ... now it didn't work out with my ex but at least this was an ad-on issue.

Years ago, while my brother and I were hanging out, he was already married and I was dating my ex-wife at the time, but he drove to see his girlfriend, who had 1 of her friends with her.
