Fair though. Menace isn’t new fear; it’s “new intimidate.” Remember when a 1/1 for 3 with intimidate that could rummage was a good card? A good RED card, even? Academy Raider, I think? Today that card would only have menace, but it’d probably be at least a 2/3.

I understand them not wanting to be on stream for 3-4 hours, but I miss getting to see all the brackets on these 4 player streams. Alex's Black Mold is my favorite canlander deck and I would love to have seen Wheeler's welder deck play through again.

Don't know if serge and Ben realized, but because oppo agent says "you control them" you actually get to see what's in their hand as well while you are "making" them search the library. The information is probably pretty big, but it's something many people forget.

I would love to see Wheelers monarch/martyr Proc deck again in a paper fight. Sure it ruins evenings, you opponents evenings that is, but we all love to see sisyphean, come-from-behind-but-not-really games for the other players now and then right?

So, on the note of people discussing what might kill magic in the next years, from lacklustre standard to rotating modern across powercrept commander - it is incredibly baffling to me that that discussion never touches on Canadian or European highlander. Those formats seem absolutely fine, with playable archetypes for casual and competitive games. I have no clue why those formats are not more ubiquitous. I've been keeping two highlander decks around, playing them in tournaments for the tight plays and battling them against one (1!) budd over beers and takeout, and no one's bored yet.

Serge can't not put pieces from Lands into this Tribal deck. Turns out the Lands cards are the thing that win (and not the tribal pieces). 'It doesn't feel like an Elementals deck' - I wonder why 😆 Edit: I make this comment and then Serge immediately addresses it.

Weird question for the group. If say Nelson had the Lilly in a multiplayer game, and he died before his next turn. How does the "until your next turn" work in that scenario is it permanently smaller?

The section on multiplayer rules covers that: 800.4j When a player leaves the game, any continuous effects with durations that last until that player’s next turn or until a specific point in that turn will last until that turn would have begun. They neither expire immediately nor last indefinitely.

Every time I lend a modern deck to a friend who doesn't play a lot of modern they try to flash Fury. Don't feel so bad Surge literally everyone has done that.
